  • Can I Use 50 Amp Transfer Switch With 30 Amp RV Setup
  • It is possible to use a 50 Amp transfer switch with a 30 amp setup since you plan on upgrading in the future however, the Furrion Transfer 50 Amp Switch is made for 50 Amp setups. I recommend to use Progressive Dynamics 50 Amp Transfer Switch part # PD52. This 50 Amp transfer switch will allow you to hook up the 30 Amp shore power to the HOT 1 connection in the box. When you decide to upgrade to a 50 amp setup, you will use HOT 1 and HOT 2.

  • Can I Use Blocks Under the Feet Of Brophy Heavy Duty Cable Camper Jacks
  • I contacted Brophy and the Brophy Heavy Duty Cable Camper Jacks part # CX74 are designed to be used on a solid flat surface preferably concrete. Your concerns are valid that the camper may slide off if the ground is unstable. They do not recommend using blocks or supports under the feet that will raise the jacks up because that could cause instabilities as well. You are best to use the jacks on solid ground.

  • I contacted Curt and the inside dimensions of the Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches part # C18113 are 49" long x 22-1/2" wide x 4" tall. That is the usable space inside the carrier according to the tech at Curt.

  • Is the Reese Steadi-Flex Compatible with an Underslung Trailer Coupler
  • Yes it can! If you check out the attached picture from the installation instructions for the Reese Steadi-Flex # RP66560 you referenced you can see that it is compatible with underslung couplers. You simply need to install the adjustable frame bracket so that the mounting bolt is fastened to one bolt hole below the bottom bolt on the frame bracket. Please note that the hitch ball is sold separately for this weight distribution system. For this application I recommend the Curt 2-5/16" diameter...

  • 5th Wheel Install Kit and Hitch Recommendations for 2004 Ford F-350 with 8-Foot Bed
  • A sliding 5th wheel hitch is usually required only for short bed trucks to provide better low-speed turning clearance. Since your F350 is an 8-foot long bed type you do not have to use a sliding hitch. The linked page will show you the 5th wheel fixed hitches and installation kits offered for your 2004 Ford F-350 long bed. I recommend a custom install kit since this will reduce drilling and overall installation time. You can use kit # RP50082-58. These are industry standard rails (ISRs)...

  • The correct Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs for a 2014 Ford F-250 is part # AL57396. This kit is a bolt on fit and designed specifically for this truck. It will work well with any in-bed hitches as well.

  • Can I Use a B&W Turnoverball on a 1999 Ford Truck with an F-550 Cab and Chassis?
  • I have a solution for you, but because your 1999 F-550 cab and chassis is typically a flatbed truck, no hitch manufacturers designed anything specifically for this vehicle. For this reason you would need to have something fabricated on to the chassis to use any type of gooseneck or 5th wheel hitch. Your best bet is going to be the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Flatbed Trucks # BWGNRK1500 and then have mounting brackets fabricated and welded on to your chassis by...

  • Fifth Wheel Hitches Compatible With OEM Puck System on 2011 Ford F-250
  • What you have on your 2011 Ford F-250 is the factory 5th wheel prep package and there are a large number of hitches which will fit directly in those pucks. The options will depend on if you have a short bed, for which you need a sliding hitch, or a long bed, for which you will use a fixed hitch. I have added links to our entire selection of sliding and fixed 5th wheel hitches that fit the prep package on your '11 Ford F-250, but the option I like the best and strongly recommend is the...

  • Will 20K M5 Series Fifth Wheel Hitch Work On Rails In Bed Of 1999 Ford Super Duty Truck Bed
  • The M5 Series fifth wheel hitch # RP30928, will work with industry-standard, above-bed rails made by Curt, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, M5 Series, Reese, and Valley. If the rails you have in your truck are standard rails then this hitch will work for you. I have attached a photo with the attach point dimensions you can check out to make sure the hitch will work in your rails. For a 1999 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty, you can use a universal rail kit like part # RP30035. For custom brackets...

  • Air Bags and Air Compressor For 2012 Ford F-350 With Factory OEM Fifth Wheel Prep Package
  • I recommend Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs part # AL88396 for the 2012 Ford F-350 Super Duty with OEM Fifth Wheel Prep Package. I confirmed with Air Lift that this kit fits with the OEM hitch because the brackets of the Air Springs and the brackets for the OEM prep package do not interfere with one another. Not only do they fit with your fifth wheel, I am recommending the Air Lift Air Springs because of their construction. The Air Lift Springs are constructed with...

  • Bed Rails Needed to Use RBW Lil Rocker LR1000 with a 2004 Ford F-250 8 Bed
  • We do have 5th wheel base rails that are compatible with your RBW Lil Rocker LR1000 and will fit your 2004 Ford F-250 with the 8' bed. Your specific 5th wheel hitch is compatible with industry standard rails (ISR) but you will need the whole kit as you won't have connectors (also known as brackets) under your pickup bed. I recommend installing the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit # RP50082-58 because it doesn't require drilling into the frame of your F-250 for the installation....

  • Gooseneck Hitch and Wiring Harness Fit for 2008 Ford F-250, 6-3/4 Bed with Air Lift 57398 Airbags
  • Since you have the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57398, on your 2008 Ford F-250, your Air Lift airbags will be compatible with a gooseneck hitch. These airbags install on the inside of the truck frame, leaving the outside of the frame open for a gooseneck hitch. One bolt will be shared between the airbag bracket and the gooseneck hitch for installation. The only automatic ball removal hitch we offer that is confirmed to fit your 2008 F-250 with 6-3/4 foot bed is the...

  • 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch and Universal Install Kit for a 2006 Ford F-350 Short Bed
  • Curt 5th wheel trailer hitch with universal installation kit # C16116 will fit your 2006 Ford F-350 but since you have a short bed you will need the slider version in order to have clearance to make tight turns. The slider version is # C16616. I have linked a video review of this system for you. The lowest cost option that includes a slider and installation kit is # PS30129 which is similar but offers 10 inches of travel instead of 12 inches of travel like the Curt hitch. With a slider...

  • Recommended Tire Chains for 325/60-20 Tires
  • The Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains part # TC2539 are what I recommend for 325/60-20 tires as they are super easy to install and have a diamond pattern so they provide great traction and a smooth ride when compared to ladder style chains. These chains also have nylon coated sections which again helps with installation but also provides some sort of wheel protection.

  • Will the Curt Universal 5th Wheel Base Rails w/ Installation Kit Fit a Lil Rocker 15k Hitch
  • The Curt Universal 5th Wheel Base Rails # 16100 are industry standard rails and will fit certain Lil' Rocker 5th Wheel hitches. The best way to determine if your hitch will work with this base rail kit is to measure the distance between the two feet. I've attached a picture that shows the distance between all of the mounting points on the Curt base rails for you to reference, so as long as the feet on your Lil' Rocker are either 10", 20-1/2" or 29" wide, you will be able to use this kit. If...

  • Air Bag Suspension System for 2000 Ford F-250 With Reese In Bed 5th Wheel Hitch
  • I have a solution for you, but most AirLift systems like the # AL88298 typically can only be used with certain 5th wheel hitches, require drilling during installation or both. For these reasons I usually recommend going with something slightly different, like the Firestone Ride-Rite # F2550. The Firestone Ride-Rite air bags are made from 4 layers of reinforced rubber as opposed to the AirLift systems which are 2-ply, so the bags are going to be a bit more durable. Additionally, the Firestone...

  • 5th wheel puck/goose neck system for 2000 f350- WHAT KIND OF AIRBAGS?
  • I have a solution for you, but unfortunately there is not an aftermarket combination Gooseneck hitch and puck system mounting kit available for your 2000 Ford F-350. Additionally, without knowing which air bag system you have installed, it's tough to confirm what will be compatible. With that being said, the best way to tow a 5th wheel and also have a gooseneck hitch available in your truck is by using the B&W Custom Underbed Installation Kit # BWGNRK1108-5W paired with the B&W Companion...

  • Recommendations for Rear Air Bags for Ford 2009 F-250 FX4 no 5th Wheel and Wireless Compressor Kit
  • Both Firestone and Airlift are quality products, and both are have confirmed fits for your truck. My recommendation is to use the AirLift Load Lifter 5000 Kit # AL57398, and instead of investing the money in a wireless compressor system, I recommend the Airlift Quick Shot Compressor System # AL25690. With the Quick Shot Compressor System you have the option of having an on-board 2 gallon reserve air tank, and accessory hose. The in-dash controller allows for continual monitoring, and...
