Gooseneck Hitch and Wiring Harness Fit for 2008 Ford F-250, 6-3/4 Bed with Air Lift 57398 Airbags

Question:

Im looking for a below the bed, automatic ball removal gooseneck hitch for my 08 F250. It has airlift 57398 bags in the back. I am also wondering what to do about wiring. I currently have the factory installed 7 pin on the rear bumper. Thanks for your help!

Since you have the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57398, on your 2008 Ford F-250, your Air Lift airbags will be compatible with a gooseneck hitch. These airbags install on the inside of the truck frame, leaving the outside of the frame open for a gooseneck hitch. One bolt will be shared between the airbag bracket and the gooseneck hitch for installation.

The only automatic ball removal hitch we offer that is confirmed to fit your 2008 F-250 with 6-3/4 foot bed is the Curt Quick Goose 2 Gooseneck Hitch with Installation Kit # C640-644. This hitch has 2 handles that are accessible under your truck bed that will allow you to raise and lower the hitch ball and lock it in place, without requiring you to climb into your truck bed. I have attached an installation video of this hitch in a 2008 F-250 for you, as well as a link to the installation instructions.

To add a gooseneck wiring harness to the bed of your truck, I recommend the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Wiring Harness, 7-Pole # C56000. This harness will install between the OEM wiring harness and factory 7-way connector at the rear of the truck. With this connector installed, you will still be able to use the factory connector at the rear of your F-250.
