Is the Reese Steadi-Flex Compatible with an Underslung Trailer Coupler

I just purchased a new travel trailer with the underslung coupler. My question is will this system be compatible with it? The tw and gtw fall right in line.

Expert Reply:
Yes it can! If you check out the attached picture from the installation instructions for the Reese Steadi-Flex # RP66560 you referenced you can see that it is compatible with underslung couplers. You simply need to install the adjustable frame bracket so that the mounting bolt is fastened to one bolt hole below the bottom bolt on the frame bracket.
Please note that the hitch ball is sold separately for this weight distribution system. For this application I recommend the Curt 2-5/16" diameter hitch ball # C40030 which has max weight ratings of 15,000 lbs towing and 1,500 lbs tongue weight meaning that your limiting factor is the weight distribution system itself and not the hitch ball.
