There are two reasons the B and W Companion hitch part # BWRVK3700 only shows up for the 8 foot bed models of the 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with the factory rail kit.
Biggest reason is because the rail kits between the short and long bed GM rail kits are different dimensions so the hitch won't physically fit. You cannot use an offset ball adapter # BWGNXA4085 with the Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter w/8" Offset # AM3139. Having multiple offsets ends up putting too much strain on the trailer and hitch.
