The Anderson Ultimate 5th Wheel Hitch is a great, lightweight fifth wheel hitch option. The kicker however is that it does not really provide much additional turning clearance which you'll need when towing with a short bed truck. I know this isn't what you want to hear but there isn't anything you can do with this setup to increase turning clearance, you can't make any more adjustments to the hitch and there won't be a longer pin box to use. The only option you have is to go with a sliding fifth wheel hitch. I don't think anyone necessarily wants to use a bulky sliding fifth wheel hitch but it's a necessary evil as that's the only way to increase turning clearance.

If you have a B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch, you can easily use the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch part # BWRVK3400. The B&W Companion is bulky, but's superior in quality and strength and also provides the benefit of not destroying the truck and trailer with sharp turns. If you have a different gooseneck hitch please just let me know what that is. In summary, you'll need to decide if a lightweight fifth wheel hitch is really worth the limited turning clearance.
