The Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Chevy/GMC OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package - 6-1/2' Bed - 21K # DM6194 will have 4 corners that drop into your pucks and the center post will fit into your gooseneck hitch location. You will want to use the Demco # DM6333, which has been confirmed to fit in the 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500 short bed with the OEM prep package. The Demco # DM6194 has been confirmed for use on Chevy/GMC short bed trucks with the prep package, but it is not compatible with the puck system in the 2021 short beds. The difference is just that the # DM6333 is designed to fit the newer OEM puck packages, where the # DM6194 is designed for a bit older trucks.

Yes, the Reese Quick Install Base Rails, parts # RP56001-53 and # RP50066-58, are essentially the same. They both use existing holes in your 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500's frame. The only difference is that the # RP56001-53 kit does have the slightly bigger base rails which will move the mounting points to outside part of the frame for easier installation.

Both gooseneck hitches are the same, but the # C611-624 (which is the C60680 kit) that includes the vehicle specific mounting rails also includes the center locater kit that makes drilling the hole in the bed for the gooseneck ball much easier. The C60710 which we sell as part # C607-604 doesn't included the center locater kit.
The # C607-604 weighs right at 100 lbs, and the # C611-624 weighs in right at 110 lbs.

While you are correct that there are other autosliding 5th wheel hitch options out there, we currently (December of 2019) only carry the Demco Hijacker solution for a 2020 GMC Sierra 2500 with the factory prep package and this includes the Rail Adapter Kit # DM6333 along with either the 18K # DM8550034 or the 21K # DM8550035 Hijacker.

I'd recommend the 20k B and W Companion hitch part # BWRVK3710 as it has quite a bit more capacity than you'd need and would give you the best fifth wheel hitch on the market. The 25k version part # BWRVK3715 would also perform just as well but since it has more capacity than you'd need and also because of that costs more I don't feel like it's your best value. If you're not getting enough clearance with your B&W gooseneck ball, then one thing you can do is swap out the ball with the B&W 4" Offset Ball, part # BWGNXA4085. This is perfectly compatible with the B&W Turnoverball gooseneck trailer hitches and will give you an additional 4 inches in the back.
