Comparing the Reese 5th Wheel Quick Install Base Rails # RP56001-53 and # RP50066-58

Question:

Im switching out my Titan 16K from 2015 Silverado 1500 to 2017 Silverado 2500HD. Instead of using the existing base rail, Im considering either RP56001-53 or RP50066-58. Besides cost difference, it appears the 56001-53 rails are a little longer because the mounting bracket is bolted along the outside of the truck chassis. It appears either is a confirmed fitment.

Yes, the Reese Quick Install Base Rails, parts # RP56001-53 and # RP50066-58, are essentially the same. They both use existing holes in your 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 2500's frame. The only difference is that the # RP56001-53 kit does have the slightly bigger base rails which will move the mounting points to outside part of the frame for easier installation.

I have attached some installation videos for you to review as well.
