It sounds like you're looking for the return line on your 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 so you can install an aftermarket transmission cooler like the Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler with Multiple Threads part # D15902. If that's the case then I'd love to be able to tell you exactly which one you need. Unfortunately, we don't have any diagrams that provide this info so I cannot say exactly which one it is on your vehicle. That said, what we recommend is to warm the... view full answer...
I've attached a little diagram below from the instructions of the Demco Air Force One Supplemental Braking System w/ Wireless Coachlink # DM26VR that shows how to wire your reed switch.
In the 2-wire reed switch setup you will just run the black wire of the switch to the red wire of the transmitter and the violet wire to the breakaway fuse.
The 3-wire reed switch just has an extra wire that you would run to ground or to the negative battery post if the battery is disconnected. view full answer...
The RetraxPRO MX Hard Tonneau Cover # RT80462 will provide an extremely low profile design that will result in very little noise while in either the retracted or extended position. The design will also help improve aerodynamics which will in turn boost your fuel economy. view full answer...
According to Firestone, a minimum of 5 psi should remain in the bags at all times. The only time they recommend leaving them completely empty is if the vehicle needs to be put on a lift and the axle isn't able to be supported.
I've linked to some helpful articles about Firestone air helper springs. view full answer...
The Phoenix USA 5 Switch Panel # PXPSP5 has a maximum 20 amp rating. We have verified this with our contact at Phoenix USA.
I have attached a short video review on this panel that you can check out as well. view full answer...
For a 2015 Silverado/Sierra 1500 you'd use the Reese # RP56007-53 for the outboard rails or # RP50064-58 for the inboard rails. I've linked the installation instructions for both.
I've also linked you to install videos for both kits. If you'd care to install a 7-way in the truck bed, you can do so using part # 41157. view full answer...
Disconnecting the battery on your 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 when flat towing is required per your owners manual. This is most likely to prevent excessive drain on your battery and prevent the vehicle anti-theft systems from activating. We do offer the Roadmaster Battery Disconnect for Gas # RM-766 or Diesel # RM93MR trucks. This will make disconnecting the battery much easier. view full answer...
The Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizer Kit - Tandem Axle - Qty 2 # LC696740 will work well with your current shackle straps and won't have a big impact on ride height. The Road Armor equalizer will definitely have a positive impact on your ride quality with the integrated shock absorber however. You can swap out your current shackle straps if desired with the 2-3/4 inch long straps # TRSL275 which are a good way to adjust for slightly taller and wider equalizer replacing your current... view full answer...
I would be very surprised if your 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 did not have 7-way wiring present at the rear of it. I attached a picture that will have what the round connector you would be looking for looks like. It will most likely be tucked somewhere behind the rear bumper. To our knowledge every 2015 Silverado came wired for a 7-way.
Once you find that connector you can install the Hopkins Smart Hitch part # HM50002 to it. Before you install it though you would want to swap the red wire... view full answer...
That's a good question, and the 7,000 lb Timbren Silent Ride Suspension will absolutely work on your tandem 3,500 lb axles to improve your trailer's ride. The correct part number is the following:
- Timbren Silent Ride Suspension for Tandem Axle Trailers w/ 2-3/8" Round Axles - 7,000 lbs # TSR7000T04
The # TSR7000T04 are designed to fit 2-3/8" diameter round axles, which is what 3,500 lb axles are, so it is the perfect option for you to get a smoother ride. It has rubber springs which... view full answer...
I wouldn't be very happy if I just go a new damaged Yakima BackSwing, part # Y02483, either. The good news is that yours actually isn't. The BackSwing has an intentional bend in it that looks like a dent. Yakima designed it that way on purpose because it positions the BackSwing so that it gains and additional 2 degrees of ground clearance. view full answer...
The great thing about the Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR is it's versatility when it comes to choosing a location to install the control knob. Since the control knob is smaller and the box that it connects to learns the direction of travel as you drive you can virtually mount it anywhere.
If you check out the attached picture and installation video you can see that we mounted it in the center console for one application. If you would like a clean looking installation you can use the mounting... view full answer...
The main trailer wiring harness is located under the truck bed, usually above the spare tire. There is usually a socket for your trailer connector to plug into, but if you peel back the wire loom you will find a light blue wire further up in the wiring harness that is intended for use for a third brake lamp on a camper shell.
I attached a couple pics to help you see where the wire is at. view full answer...
The Taskmaster Vesper Steel Modular Trailer Wheel # TA52FR comes with a valve stem that is rated for up to 65 psi. I confirmed this with my contact at Taskmaster.
If you are needing to use a tire with this that requires a higher psi rating then you can swap the valve stem out for part # AM20904 which is a valve stem rated for up to 80 psi or even part # AM20907 which is a valve stem rated for up to 100 psi if you want some extra cushion with the rating. view full answer...
I attached a picture of how the Curt front hitch part # C31069 will look when installed on a truck like your 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500. The hitch pin hole is right behind the air damn. It is a little hard to see in the picture so I put an arrow on it to point it out. view full answer...
The installation kit included with 5th wheel hitch and installation kit # PS30128 is actually Reese universal installation kit # RP30035. I have linked the installation instructions for you. But with a short bed truck like your 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 6-1/2 foot bed, you will want to use the slider version, # PS30129, to be able to make tight turns without hitting the truck and trailer together. view full answer...
It is not at all uncommon for owners of trucks with factory brake controllers to switch back to the aftermarket units like the Tekonsha PowerTrac # 39523. Convenience is great but solid performance is much better!
If you have a Silverado 1500 you can use a quick-connect brake controller adapter # 3016 to plug in a unit such as the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885, which is among the most reliable and easy to use proportional controllers we offer, to the under-dash port. It works both with electric... view full answer...
On some 2015 Chevy Silverados the 12 volt circuit for the 7-way isn't completed under the hood of the truck. On the positive post side of your truck's battery there will be a wire that is taped to it that would need to be connected to the positive post of the battery and the circuit will be completed. view full answer...
I have linked a video that shows exactly where the felt strips go on CIPA towing mirrors # CM10950. There should be 4 strips total. Two of them go on the wedges between the stock mirror housing and the wedge. The other two go on the insides of the towing mirrors for additional protection. The video shows this pretty clearly so I think it is exactly what you are looking for. view full answer...
Technically you can back up with basically any weight distribution system but you have to make sure you are mostly backing up in a straight line. It's the really sharp turns that people get themselves into when backing up that is the issue with WD systems. This holds true for the Pro Series kit you have currently. view full answer...
