Yes it will accept PVC adhesive, the felt backing will soak it up and help create a strong connection/bond. The adhesive has a longer life span than butyl tape and it is cleaner than using caulk or other sealants.
It will need to be treated with paint or an adhesive on the felt backing. If not treated it will wick water/moisture, if treated it will be waterproof. view full answer...
The smallest container size of the Alpha Systems 8011 Adhesive for RV Roofs, is 1 Gallon - item # AL27CV. This provides a strong bond between your roof membrane and your RV's roof. Yes, the Alpha Systems Alphabond Repair Tape for RV Roofs # AL32KV will adhere to a fiberglass roof. You will want to make sure the area you are adhering too is thoroughly cleaned. We do not have a recommended adhesive, you will just want to be sure you use an adhesive that is intended to be used with fiberglass.
You will then want to use a non-sag sealant like the LaSalle Bristol XTRM Universal Non-Sag Sealant for RVs # 344270341437-1 to make sure you seal everything completely. This... view full answer...
I took a look at the install instructions of the Lippert Components Shower Pan for RVs # LC210377 and there is a note that states: "All caulks, adhesives, sealants MUST be compatible with ABS" so when installing the pan be sure that any adhesive you use clearly states it is compatible with ABS.
Additionally, when cleaning the pan, the manual states there are certain cleaners that are not to be used, such as disinfectant sprays, disinfectant foams, pine oil cleaners, citrus-based cleaners,... view full answer...
According to Valterra, you should use a non-hardening sealant safe for ABS plastic. Don't use standard pipe dope or teflon tape as the pipe dope will harden over time which can cause leaking. Teflon tape acts as a lubricant, not a sealant. The danger of using that with ABS pipe is that it can cause the installer to over torque the fitting which causes the pipe or fitting to deform which would then very likely leak. view full answer...
No, you would not have to use adhesive between the roof and the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - Manual Lift - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" Item # FV802250 during installation. In fact it is possible that an adhesive and the silicone may not be compatible with each other and could lead to one or both breaking down.
We actually have an installation kit for rubber roofs. It is Camco RV Vent Installation Kit - Rubber Roofs or Sidewalls - White Butyl Tape Item # CAM25013. Instead of silicone it... view full answer...
The seal will push right on, but I would recommend using a few dots of adhesive to secure the seal in place. I would not recommend using a super glue, as it can melt plastics and weld things together. A few small dabs of silicone sealant would be enough to ensure that the seal stays in place.
The seal should be installed so that the rib you speak of is on the outside of the vent. view full answer...
If you check out the install video I attached for the Curt hitch part # C13382 around the 6 minute mark you can see that when we installed this hitch we didn't do anything special with that sealant you mentioned. I would just ignore it and go about the install. view full answer...
I spoke with my contact at Derale and they provided some very useful information. They said you do not want to use a liquid sealant of any type because it acts as a lubricant when first applied and would actually allow you to over tighten the fittings causing leaks. They suggest using a thread tape and tightening to approximately 8 to 10 ft lbs. Although the suggestion to hand tighten and then turn an additional 1/4 turn may work, the term hand tighten would be different for everyone. view full answer...
Alpha Systems recommends completing two coats of their Alpha Systems 4034 Roof Coating for RV Roofs # AL34CV on your EPDM roof. I'm assuming that you're speaking of the Optronics # MCL31RB side marker/clearance lamps. These lamps are designed to surface mount using machine or self tapping screws as shown in the photo I've provided for you. A gasket isn't available, but using a thin bead of # 0160297 silicone to prevent water from getting behind the lamp would be an excellent idea. view full answer...
The 1988 Layton travel trailer nearest the 17-foot size you mentioned is their 16-foot model M-1661.
The adhesive included in the etrailer kit # 344270KITW is not suitable for use on the rubber roof on your trailer. However we do offer part # 0160297, which is compatible with rubberized roofs. This white sealant remains flexible when cured; but it cannot be painted. It requires a standard caulk gun for application (available at any hardware or paint store).

I can't say for sure which gutter extensions we used on your 2014 Jayco Jay Flight Swift SLX 154BH, but the installation for the RV Extended Rain Gutter Spouts # 372655-PW-A are very simple. The degree of protection from moisture when installing the Ventline Vanair Roof Vent with 12V Fan # VP-543SP will really depend on making seamless contact between the vent's mounting surface and the surfaces on the Transit Connect.

With the Derale Oil Relocation Kit like part # D15748 or part # D15718, there are O-rings included to mount the adapter to the engine block. Per the included instructions a light coat of oil should be applied to the O-rings when they are installed. The O-ring would not need to be replaced unless they start leaking. One of my co-workers has a relocation kit installed and said they have never needed to replace the O-rings.
As you stated, new oil filters have a rubber gasket included, so... view full answer...
