Today, we're gonna be taking a look at a very simple kayak storage solution. This is the Malone High Rise. So this is gonna be a very, very cost effective way just to get these kayaks just off of the ground of your garage. I like to clean my garage out a lot, blow it out, and then hose it out and squeezing it out. And it's just so difficult just moving everything out, and then doing all of it and then moving it back in. So I like to keep my garage floor nice and clean.

So this is gonna be able to haul a kayaker canoe up to about 150 pounds. All you need is some studs in the wall, which everyone has studs in the wall, to get it installed. And I think this is gonna be a pretty good option just to, you know, free up your garage a little bit and make it look nicer too. Nice thing about this is we can set the height. So for me, this is perfect.

I literally just lean this thing in, and I'm on my way. Now you can see the pads on the carrier. It does have a little bit of foam on the outside, and it's a steel tube. So it's nice that we have a little bit of padding 'cause steel's a little bit harder than plastic. So you don't have to worry about your kayak getting all scratched up.

And this is going to stick out from the wall a decent amount and we're not gonna be able to rotate these in. If you want one that rotates, then I highly recommend that you grab one. Malone makes one, it's called the YakSwing. Kinda cool, but then you don't have to worry about, you know, running into this whenever your kayaks aren't with you. You can actually rotate it in.

But, this still gets the job done. There's a couple of 'em that are just straight, and I like how it's kinda curved here so that you can kind of angle your kayak 'cause it takes up a little bit less space off your wall. So let's just focus on this one. So from the wall to the farthest most point, it's about 20 and three quarters of an inch. And it's gonna take up a small portion of your wall. So let's see. From the very top to the very, very bottom, including the foam it's right at 13 inches. If you have some friends you like to go yaking with, I think we could get probably another set down low. So kayak down here, kayak here, and maybe one more up top before it gets a little too tall for me to at least take it off the wall. So that's something you can do. You can kind of stack 'em up. We do have other options where it's kind of just a little it's kinda like a rack or something like that you put into your garage. So that one will be free standing. It'll have a little bit more capacity so then all your kayaks will be in the same place, and then you can kinda wheel it out. I just like keeping everything off the ground because I like to clean my garage quite often. So I do think that we can fit at least three, maybe four if you're a little bit taller and you can get 'em all lined up and store multiple kayaks. This one's a very, very easy and straightforward installation. Find a stud, take a little marker, take a quarter inch drill bit, pre-drill out those holes, and this hardware is included. So you don't have to source it out yourself. But of course you're gonna need the drill bit, the drill, and some sockets to put it all in there. Did not take long at all, and I think this is gonna be a really, really quick way and a really, really cost effective way to get one kayak up and off the ground. It's just nice to have a place for these things just because if you keep 'em outside and it's finally season you wanna go kayaking, I'm always just nervous. I'm just checking in there. Like, what's living in here Since it's been outside all day. So get it inside. Don't put it on the ground. I just don't like doing that, and it just looks a lot better whenever you bring some friends into your garage and you wanna show off your stuff.
