Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we take a look at this pop and lock custom manual tailgate lock handle with the bolt technology for the Toyota Tacoma trucks. And this one is in the pyrite mica color. It is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2005 to 2015 Toyota Tacoma trucks.
On a custom fit part like this I do like to recommend for you to go to our website and use the fit guide. Put in your year and model vehicle and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now this is a locking tailgate handle. This will discourage theft of your cargo. And even of your tailgate.
It'll create a nice secure storage for your valuables when it's used with a tonneau cover or a truck bed cap. Does include the tailgate handle and the lock mechanism. And this will replace your existing factory tailgate handle with this ABS plastic tailgate handle that has a built in manual lock. And you won't have to carry any extra keys. And the reason is, this lock cylinder uses the bolt codeable technology, so that it can be keyed to match your OEM truck key.
You just stick your OEM truck key in there, and it'll set that lock to be able to work with that OEM key. It has a nice tough armored steel lock, does resist tampering. And it has a nice raised lock. So, it makes for quick key access. As we mentioned, it is customized for your vehicle.
This plastic locking handle will replace your OEM tailgate handle and it will work on trucks with or without a backup camera. We mentioned the color on this. It is a pyrite mica color. Installation was easy. I really like the color match. I also like that it locks.

Works good but the plastic overtime becomes dry and brittle. Really not a great design from jumpstreet.

Shipping was slow and could have been better, even took them a couple of days to create the label let alone give it to the shipping company.
The product itself was excellent and easy to install and configure to my key.
