Inno Velo Gripper Truck Bed

The space-saving Velo Gripper bike carrier lets you transport 1 bike in your truck bed. Because your bike sits along the side of your truck bed, you'll have plenty of room for everything else you need to haul. This carrier mounts easily onto the side rail of your truck bed, and ratcheting straps hold a bike of any shape or size by the seat stay and fork. Built-in D-rings act as tie-down spots so that you can secure your bike with a cable lock or secure other cargo with a bungee cord or tie-down strap.

Hassle-Free Bike Mounting

Inno Bike Mounting

Two ratcheting straps on adjustable rods hold one bike of any shape or size by the fork and seat stay - no need to remove your front wheel to mount your bike. The rods rotate so the holders can grab your bike from any angle. Rotating the rods also allows you to adjust the amount of space between your bike frame and the side of your truck bed. That way, you can position your bike close enough to the side of your truck bed to save space but not so close that your bike and truck bed make contact.

Simple Truck-Bed Installation

Inno Bike Mounting

The Velo Gripper installs without drilling onto your truck bed. To install, place the included protective plates on top of your truck bed rail to prevent the mounting brackets from scuffing or scratching the paint. Then, position the mounting brackets over the protective plates. Tighten the clamps down with the eye bolts to complete installation.

Space-Saving Design

Inno Space Saving

Your bike will rest on both wheels in its normal upright position on the inside of your truck bed. This mounting style leaves most of your truck bed open to carry other gear. You can position your bike at the front or the rear of your truck bed to help reduce the potential for the bike to roll. This not only reduces pressure on the Velo Gripper but also saves space in your truck bed.

D-Ring Attachments

Inno D Ring

Each clamp has an attached D-ring that enables you to use tie-down straps with or without your bike mounted. Loop a a cable lock with a maximum diameter of 3/4" (sold separately) through the D-rings or the eye bolts and through your bike frame to lock the carrier to your truck and your bike to the carrier. A 5' - 6' long cable is recommended for locking your bike and both clamps. When you're not transporting a bike, these D-rings make great tie-down spots for securing other gear in your truck.

Using the Grippers for carrying 2 ebikes, weighing 55 & 75 lbs. I know this is above the rated bike weights but so far they have performed well. My short bed keeps the 75# bike pretty well locked in front to back so that may help.

Still working well, weve had no issues on multiple long distance trips.

by:

1 year ago, ordered 2 pair Inno Velo clamp on bike rakes for pickup. One pair received damaged/used. eTrailer credited 50%. Rated average for 2 reasons. First, I couldn't get them to work securely with my tonneau cover without modifications (plastic spacer blocks to clear tonneau rail) and I can't close the tonneau cover over them when not transporting bikes. Second, while not recommended for ebikes, they kinda worked but are not strong enough for the weight of the bikes especially when needing to extend to full length. I like the idea but just doesn't meet my needs. Otherwise, they should work just fine under different applications. Best use is to install and left installed. In my circumstance, removal & reinstallation was a pain.

by:

I am disappointed that they don’t hold my bikes better than they do. I still have to strap them down so they don’t fall out. They are pretty expensive for what you get. I need to modify them so they will actually work. Not really what I was expecting to do, but I need to so my bikes are secured.

I would like to see what is going on with your bike and the Velo Gripper. Would you be able to send pictures of your bike installed with the Velo and the additional straps that are needed?

by:

Works great! No bike rack hanging off the back or blocking the tailgate. I also run a cable lock through one of the bed tie downs to secure the bike if I have to walk away.

by:
Ford F-250 Super Duty

Very adjustable and versatile. Definitely meets my needs to secure a Specialized Roubaix in the bed of an f250.

We take our ebikes when camping, but because the RV uses the truck hitch, are not able to use a rack. Tailgate keepers allow too much movement of bikes plus they are susceptible to rocks and other road damage. We ordered the Inno Gripper hoping to carry the bikes inside the truck bed. As with most ebikes in a standard truck bed, they are too long to fit straight in, so the front wheel must be turned in order to fit the bikes and shut the tailgate. As a result, the front frame is several inches further from the side, so the gripper doesn't reach the frame. I found the dimensions of the threaded rod and replaced with one several inches longer so the gripper would extend to the bike. Voila! Our ebikes are securely attached to the truck bed with virtually no movement. We've traveled nearly a thousand miles with our ebikes safely secured by the Inno Velo Gripper and couldn't be happier. Even friends who previously used tailgate keepers or racks have switched to the gripper as it secures the expensive bikes so much better than other options. etrailer did not have the longer rods, so I purchased on [online]. Inno really should make extended rods available as an option as everyone I know has an issue with bike length in their truck bed (the reason they go with tailgate keepers and racks). It took me a long time to find the properly threaded rod and extra couplers.

Still working well! We have travelled over 15,000 miles with the Grippers to this point!

Easy installation. No holes to drill in my truck bed. Holds my bike securely. It was everything that I was looking for in a rack for my new bike.

Fantastic! Everything about the clamp system works well for me. I get an easy to use clamping system for my bike and still have room in the bed of the truck for other gear. The system secures my bike well for highway travel but is still quick and easy to use every day to get to trail. I highly recommend it for trucks.

@CJ Glad to hear your # INRT201 Inno Velo Gripper bike rack is working well for you!

by:
2018 Pontiac Trans Sport Van

Great product that works as advertised. I have a 2018 f150 5.5’ box. I have used this twice to transport my bike and the bike is really secured well. I have to leave my tailgate down as the bike comes out of the bed maybe an inch or 2. The wheel well in my bed does slightly get in the way when screwing in the eye bolt but once in place it hold the bike perfectly. I do use a stretch cord also due to the fact that the tailgate must be left down.

by:

We love the Velo Gripper Bike Rack! I use it in conjunction w/my homemade pvc rack & I can haul two eBikes that weigh 60lbs each. I have less than a $100 in this set up & it’s inside the truck bed instead of paying $4-600 for a bike rack strong enough to hold the eBikes on the back of the truck w/the receiver hitch. We have hauled our bikes from NW AR to Gulf Shores AL a couple times to ride at the “Gulf State Park” (11 hours one way) & up to the “Katy Trail” in central Missouri (5 hour trip one way); not to mention all the local trips to the Razorback Greenway in NW AR. It only takes a couple minutes to attach the Velo Rack to the truck.

by:

These seem to be perfect for our electric bikes. What an awesome idea for the bed of a truck.

by:
GMC Canyon

Disappointed ! Scratched my forks . Bike would lean at an acward position. I used it on a gmc canyon . Not enough reach. But when fully extended became less stable. Causing bike to lean.

by:

I bought two sets of these for our Rad E-bikes and they have performed and held up great. They state there not for bike Weight capacity more than: 33 lbs but it works perfectly with our bikes. Only draw back is they need to be removed if you have a tonneau cover over your bed and you want to keep it covered.

by:
2021 Toyota Tundra

They hold my bike upright with no wobble. It sure beats laying my new bike down in the back of my truck bed.

by:

Before purchase the website said the bike carrier would fit a 2017 ford 350. Upon arrival the rack wouldn’t mount appropriately to secure my Yeti SB130 mountain bike. It became obvious the carrier was designed to hold much older conventional bike frames. Certainly misleading and disappointing.

by:
2009 Chevrolet Silverado

Great product money well spent! Little bit of a challenge to figure out how I was going to make it work with a pickup with a toolbox in the back especially having a Fat Tire Bike but the flexibility of the clamps makes it very easy to find a location to hold up my bike. Looks dope and works great easy on easy off. Note to self when the clamps are on Mark the edges with a marker or paint pen so this way when you take the clamps off you can put them right in the same spot and you don't have to worry about figuring out where they go again

by:

We have been using these for about 1 year. They hold the bikes very secure. They are easily removed if necessary, but I just leave them attached. They are very easy to use!(my wife secures her own bike) I like these much better than any other truck mount option! If your bedliner has ridges, it can be a little bit of a challenge finding the right placement for each bike. I ended up with one bike facing forward and one backwards. Works perfectly!

by:

Easy to install Could be deeper C channel to make adaptation with a Leer cover a bit better.
They look great and very adaptable to any size bike frame

by:
2002 Mazda B Series Pickup

These clamps are beefier than expected, easy to install, and hold bike very firmly in place. One drawback is that with my bike and truck size, the hold down strap on the seat bar hits where the derailleur is clamped to the bar. So I had to raise the RT201 with a small wood block.

by:

I ordered these grip clamps so we could transport our electric bikes upright in the back of our truck. And I am very happy with them. They are well made, easy to install and even stay secure when going through the car wash. I highly recommend them.

by:

The 201 bike holder is top quality. It is built strong, with metal components. After testing my first one, I did not hesitate to buy another for my wife's bike. Installation takes about 5 minutes and will remain where you put it. To secure them, simply run a cable through some loops. I recommend this solution for those cyclists who don't want to drill holes in their truck beds.

BTW, shipping was fast!

by:
2007 Ford F-150

I just installed the truck bed bike racks in my
Ford F-150. They were easy to install, and appear
to be very well made, and hold the bike very tight. I may order another set for the other side of the
truck bed.

by:

Bike rack works great for securing to the pickup truck bed side. We secure one bike to each side and still leaves room for more gear in the middle of the truck bed.

by:
2018 Ford F-250 Super Duty

This is my second purchase from etrailer and both have been seamless. Great communication, pkg arrives in its' original box expertly wrapped inside a shipping box. Product arrived as claimed and is more heavy duty than I'd have thought. etrailer pricing is excellent and less than other online sites! Easy install. Most difficult part of the install was finding the "voids" in the 2018 F250 bedside allowing the handle to tighten/loosen w/o rubbing the bedside. Still only took about 15 min. Great product from a reputable distributor-highly recommend both!

by:
2008 Toyota Tundra

High build quality but the the straps are too short for a mountain bike. This Prevents where you can attach it to the bike. This product would be 5 stars if the strap were an inch longer.

by:
GMC Terrain

Quick easy install/removal

Use them
on a 57 lbs. e-bike and it holds great no matter the terrain my truck is covering.
