2024 ToyotaSienna

2024 Sienna XLE install. Great product. Fits snugly. Does not hang below other parts of the undercarriage chassis. Relatively easy install by myself, using box to support opposite side. Trimmed panel fit perfectly. Best part is it maintains the foot auto rear hatch function. Instruction video perfect!i. Used Tekonsha wiring 118824 and worked slick. Attached relay box with small matchine screw above small cover (see photo) which allows access (if ever needed) to the fuse without pulling side panes off again. Routed trailer wiring out bottom of panel so it stores in the existing side pocket. This is my third hitch from Etrailer. All went in easily!!

Easy installation with clear instructions. Very well packaged. Arrived very fast and the customer service was great! I knew where my product was at all times and when it arrived at my house.

Been working excellent with no issues.

Outstanding product and customer service. I've purchased etrailer hitches with all my vehicles and they have been flawless. The customer service/pre sales was outstanding to make sure I had all the right parts and everything was compatible.

by:
2022 ToyotaSienna

Overall, it was a difficult installation as much wiggle room was needed since the holes did not align and required quite a bit of tugging and adjustment on both sides. The package box delivered UPS was heavily damaged and open due to poor handling. There was no styrofoam, internal cardboard, or any padding provided to better protect the hitch, so the item came in scratched up at the certain parts due to damaged box and rough handling.

by:

everything I expected in a receiver - works great with my bike rack.

by:
2023ToyotaSienna

Your packaging of the product for shipment definitely needs improvement. This is the 2nd hitch we have ordered from etrailer and they both arrived with the box torn open with scratches on the hitches. Other than the poor packing of the hitch, the hitch is great and looks great on our 2023 Toyota Sienna LE. Super simple to install and works great for my Thule bike rack. Your videos on installation are so nice to refer to when installing the hitch. Thank you!

This Curt hitch went on my 2023 Sienna with no problem. It would have been a little easier with two people but was possible with just one person. Took about an hour to install in my garage. I drove the back tires onto some boards about 3 inches high to give me a little more room to work.

This hitch works great on my 2021 Toyota Sienna. We use it for a hitch-mount bicycle rack. Easily carries 4 adult bicycles. Installation was very easy, especially with the helpful instructions and video from etrailer.

by:

Such a great hitch I ordered a new one to replace the original on my older vehicle. And the shipping was incredibly fast. I appreciated the great service.

by:

Hitch arrived quickly and was an exact fit for my 2021 Sienna. When we bought the car, I ordered a hitch to be installed by the dealer which I was told would be a 2" receiver. When I picked up the car after installation, it was a 1 1/2 " receiver. At that point I was told that Toyota didn't offer a 2", but this would have the same 3,500 pound rating. I removed the dealer hitch myself and installed the Curt with the help of a four-wheel dolly and some wood shims. Took the dealer hitch back and they refunded me the cost - about twice as much as the Curt! (I did try one of those 1 1/2" to 2" adaptors, but there was way to much slop with the two sleeves)

Still very satisfied - excellent hitch - perfect fit.

Quick and reliable shipping and was able to take to my mechanic to get it installed and it works perfectly with my bike rack!

2006 ToyotaSienna

Awesome product, used this on our 2022 Toyota Sienna Hybrid and it was very easy to install, 4 bolts and you're done. Very solid frame, powdercoat, just a fantastic product. This is the 2nd one of these I purchased, the first was for a 2006 Lexus 330 but that engine fried so I bought a new van and needed a new hitch.

If you go fast over a big bump or down a steep driveway the bottom of the hitch frame or hitch itself can rub on the ground a bit but that's simply the low ground clearance of the van nothing to do with the product, and it's 1/4 steel so I'm not worried about a few scrapes.

I was concerned the "kick to open" wouldn't work as this covers the sensors a bit but it still works so that was a plus, not a huge fan of the foot sensor but my wife digs it so I'm glad it still works.

I have nothing negative to say, it's a fantastic product!

Still working great, it has a low clearance so sometimes it will grind on some driveways and parking lot exits, but its nothing that causes and issue and does not do any cosmetic damage you can see.

Fits our Toyota Sienna 2022 perfectly. Great product, we use it to carry our bicycles

Well, your hitch is working out great. A very good product and a food investment for our use and the value of our van.
Many have asked about the hitch who own Toyota Siennas.

Good product, good staff, and an easy fit.

2022 ToyotaSienna

Fit perfectly, I was able to install with no assistance by supporting it with wood blocks, but a second person would make it very easy. Did not jack up the vehicle, tight but doable. Make sure you take pictures before removing the driver side panel, because there are 2 or 3 different fasteners. I chose NOT to cut and reinstall the panel because there is NOT one on the passenger side. If I ever remove the hitch, I will reinstall it.

I'm a first time etrailer customer. Overall it was an excellent experience. The item was shipped very quickly. I liked being able to read the reviews and watch their youtube videos.

The Curt hitch receiver was so easy to install!

FYI, my local "outdoors/trailer/camping" place wanted to charge me $257.95 for the hitch receiver. They also wanted to charge me $200 for installation. That's $477.94 out the door!!!

by:

First off, excellent product and excellent customer service.

I bought a hitch receiver for my last Sienna for a bike rack and was happy with it so shopped here again. I have a 2021 Toyota Sienna Platinum trim, and this year is the first of this generation meaning the old hitch also needed a reboot. This one is easier to install than the last one I got that was almost completely hidden except for the actual receiver. With the new Sienna design the geometry makes this impossible so you see the structural bars connecting it to the van. You just need to take the driver's side panel off and trim it a bit before putting it back on over the hitch.

The bottom of the hitch sits 9-10 inches from the ground which is low but hey, it's a minivan and looking at the underside I don't think it could sit much higher anyway. I got a Meyer 4" drop/rise hitch extension to raise that by 4" which is works great. I did have to use a hacksaw and grindstone drill attachment to trim a corner off so it fit, then spray painted it, but I preferred that to getting one that stuck out even further since any extension is going to add to how far it sticks out the back. I got the this 5-bike Allen rack to go with it, it seemed to be one that again kept the bikes (and therefore the center of gravity) closer to the van compared to others. You also have to buy a 5/8" pin to secure the adapter. I made sure the pin and rack both had locking mechanisms on them to prevent theft.

Overall very happy with the hitch. It's sturdy and simple to install. Its 2" size makes it strong enough to do anything you want to do with it. Do NOT get the Toyota factory hitch- everyone at the dealership though it was a 2" hitch but it is indeed a 1-1/4" and an eyesore. This one looks nice and I would do the whole process over again. Trimming the adapter was the hard part, but it seemed to be the best option for keeping everything from sticking out too far.

by:

Installed it myself and towed my camper from NC to Cali with it! Worked great and held up the whole time!

by:
2023ToyotaSienna

Took me all of about 25 minutes to install, and that included the very minor trimming of the under panel. Instructions were great.

by:

Easy to install. One of the corners was slightly bent during shipping and that required me to use a pry bar to align the last two holes.

by:

as described. fit perfectly. Alex was 5 star in helping me.

Awesome service and high quality hitch with great directions

  • Difference Between Draw-Tite and Curt Trailer Hitches for a 2022 Toyota Sienna
I would be more than happy to recommend a trailer hitch for your 2022 Toyota Sienna. Both the Draw-Tite # DT55MR and Curt # C22UR have identical designs when it comes to mounting bracket installation and hitch height so I recommend going with the Curt because they are made in the USA and they typically have a thicker powder coat which means they can resist the elements better. Attached is a photo of this hitch installed on a 2021 Sienna for you to check out. If you don't already have...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch For A 2021 Toyota Sienna XSE Hybrid With Hands Free Lift Gate
For your 2021 Toyota Sienna XSE Hybrid, I recommend going with the American made Curt # C22UR. Your Sienna Hybrid is rated up to 3,500 pounds towing and 350 pounds of tongue weight capacity, at least that I could find, so the Draw-Tite # DT55MR with its higher weight capacities isn't really needed in this case. The Curt hitch, as with the Draw-Tite, will limit the use of the hands free lift gate sensor to either side of the receiver opening, but it will not negate its use. Just as a side...

  • What is the Ground Clearance of the Curt # C22UR and the Draw-Tite # DT55MR?
As far as the Curt hitch # C22UR and the Draw-Tite # DT55MR, we unfortunately haven't had a chance to install the hitches yet. With that being said, we do not have the precise ground measurements when fitted onto a 2021 Toyota Sienna. However, both of these hitches will fit your vehicle. In order to give you a perspective of the ground clearance, I went ahead and attached photos of the hitches used on a 2021 Toyota Sienna for you to compare.

  • Comparing Curt and etrailer Hitch for 2023 Toyota Sienna
The Curt # C22UR and the etrailer # e56RR are identical with the exception of the finish. The Curt hitch has a glossy finish while the etrailer hitch has a matte black finish. I prefer the matte black since it helps hide inevitable dirt and dings on the hitch. It also tends to blend in better since the color is more of an OEM look. If appearance doesn't matter to you then I would choose whichever one has the lower price.

  • Which Hitch is Better for 2021 Toyota Sienna Curt or Draw Tite
The Draw Tite hitch part # DT55MR that fits your 2021 Toyota Sienna is the hitch I would recommend for your 2021 Toyota Sienna over the Curt # C22UR as it has slightly higher towing capacities while being a very similar design. Aside from that the install is going to be the same as well as ground clearance. If you need trailer wiring as well the best option is the Tekonsha kit part # TK69FR which has an easy install and a very reliable converter box.

  • What Is The Difference Between The Curt & etrailer Trailer Hitch Receivers For a 2023 Toyota Sienna?
The only difference between the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C22UR and our etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e56RR is the powder coat finish. We selected Curt to manufacturer our receivers as they are made in the USA and have a great reputation for quality receivers. The Curt will have a gloss black finish while our etrailer receiver has a matte black finish. Personally I prefer the matte black finish as it matches well with most factory trim giving it an OE appearance.

  • Difference Of Curt Trailer Hitch And etrailer Hitch For A 2023 Toyota Sienna
Though the Curt hitch and the etrailer hitch are very similar I recommend going with the etrailer hitch # e56RR. The etrailer hitch has a matte black powder coating that will help keep scratches and scuffs less visible that you would receive from rocks and flying road debris that you would get while towing. The Curt hitch has a gloss black powder coating which would make the scratches more visible. The etrailer hitch has a bolt-on installation. Both hitches are manufactured in The USA....

  • Does Curt Trailer Hitch Or Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch For 2021 Toyota Sienna Have More Ground Clearance
For your 2021 Toyota Sienna there is two trailer hitch receivers available, and both will have roughly the same ground clearance as they are both the same general design. Between these two hitches, the Curt # C22UR and the Draw-Tite # DT55MR, I recommend going with the Curt # C22UR due to it being made here in the USA, and in our experience the Curt hitches have a tougher powder coat finish that keeps the hitch looking better, longer.
