Comparing The Draw-Tite And Curt Trailer Hitches For A 2023 Toyota Sienna

Question:

Looking at both the Curt and Drawtite trailr hitches for my 23 Sienna and can't decide between the two? Which do you recommend as the best? Thanks,

The Curt # C22UR and Draw-Tite # DT55MR are fairly similar in design, with the major difference between the two being their weight capacities. The Curt has a 3,500lb GTW and 350lb TW capacity while the Draw-Tite has a 4,500 GTW and 675lb TW capacity. With the 2023 Toyota Sienna having a max capacity of 3,500lbs GTW the Draw-Tite is a bit overkill since you'd be limited to the vehicle's capacity.

The only other notable difference really comes down to the paint job, which Curt's powder coat gloss finish has been known to last longer than Draw-Tite's. Curt's customer service department is also much more responsive than Draw-Tite's, which is a key factor for me personally when I'm looking to purchase something. Because of these reasons the Curt # C22UR is the trailer hitch that I recommend. I've attached a couple of Brad's installation videos below to help walk you through the process if you choose to do this yourself.

If you ever plan on towing a small trailer or want to add lights to a bike rack or cargo carrier for better visibility then I recommend also picking up the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236.
