Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

2010 Hyundai Veracruz

I have a 2010 Veracruz. Easy to install just fellow the great videos.
If you get the wiring harness also, install that first because some of the connections run through holes in the frame rails and it is easier to do without the hitch in the way. Great product, good hardware.

Looks strong. Easy to install. Towing my first trailer this weekend. Fingers crossed.

I received and installed my hitch today. Great service and quick delivery. Hitch fit right into place and the directions given were great.

2010 Honda Odyssey

I previously purchased a Draw-tite hitch for my 2010 Honda Odyssey from you folks. With the new (old) tow vehicle I had to get the hitch through you. The youtube installation video you folks did is great and will help my hubby do the job.

Fit as advertised.

2010 Hyundai Veracruz

Harness and hitch installed as advertised. A bit tricky getting the connectors thru the access hole in the bumper but not terribly so. My 2010 Veracruz didn't have the tow hook so didn't have to remove the muffler and heat shield which made this job a snap. Highly recommend cleaning the threaded holes prior to install, I'd hate to have stripped out threads or broken a bolt halfway thru this project. Took all of an hour to do.

After a year of towing to college, to the lake, and to the home improvement stores, the hitch has performed without any issues, no rust. Given the ease of installation I still highly recommend this hitch for the Veracruz.

One year later, our trailer hitch is still performing perfectly. We are very pleased with the product and especially the service at etrailer - when we received the product we had ordered a few accessories, one of which was on backorder. Etrailer was very responsive in communicating the delay with us and offering to ship the items separately. Everyone we spoke with was so nice and helpful. Would certainly purchase from them again!

2008 Hyundai Veracruz

A little more time to install but a great product. Thank you,
Luis

The issues was that the shipping took 6 days to start. The order was placed the order was verified for in stock and 6 days later the order was shipped.

2011 Hyundai Veracruz

My box came pretty banged up, I'm sure my postal carrier was cussing me out for that heavy load... But the hitch and all of the supplies were intact. Item was described accurately, the tutorial videos helped tremendously with installation, and etrailer.com saved us roughly $212. No more u-haul for us. No sir! Next time we will direct out business here. The communication was good, the tracking and shipment was straight forward and timely, and our experience was all we could have asked for.

2011 Hyundai Veracruz

This was a great experience buying from etrailer - very easy to order and they arrived in just a couple of days. Before I installed I read reviews and watched the videos (very helpful) I will tell anyone that wants a great product with loads of help etrailer is the place to go. The hitch looks great and is heavy duty thank etrailer!

Ford Edge

Great service. Ordered and received in 8 days. UPS banged up the paint, cause it wasn't protected very good, but I touched it up.

2012 Hyundai Veracruz
Very happy with the ease of installation. Make sure you chase the mounting threads before raising it up into place. It took longer for me because I had to raise it with boxes until it got close enough to bolt on. Also needed to bend the heat shield edge with a screwdriver to get the flange behind it so don't tighten the bolts....leave a 3/8" or more gap. Get the shield in place and then tighten and torque. Just be patient and don't get a hurry.. The hitch fit perfect UNDER the exhaust so I didn't have to touch them at all. The time it took didn't matter as long as I knew I mounted it right.

Detailed instructions via video link. Installed the hitch on my Veracruz by myself in about 20 minutes after removing the tow loop. I wouldn't recommend doing it by yourself but it's do-able. My only issue is waiting to see if they honor the price match claim.

Hitch is well made, fit the hole locations on the frame but I feel that it was not easy to install. It took extended amount of time and a universal joint to install the front hanger bolts after getting them started by hand. To get the front bolts started by hand was very time consuming and took a lot of patience. You had use your hand with little room and it was very diffucult. There was not a straight shot to the bolt to use an extension straight on to line up. Cross member could use a hole thru it in line with the bolt loction to make installation straight forward at each front bolt location or rework the cross member location to go between the bolt locations.

Great hitch. Better built than I expected. Took four hour to install since I did it alone with no lift or jacks. I had to remove plastic lower skirt since it was rubbing but that's ok. Price is high but I think quality was worth it. I'll look for more parts from etrailer.com.

2011 Hyundai Veracruz

Easy, easy, easy. On a late model Vera Cruz (mine is 2012) it does not even require lowering the exhaust. raise it into place and bolt it on!

This hitch was very beefy and had the impression of a factory unit. The optional wire harness was also a piece of cake. Plugged right into factory plugs.

by:

Good fit but pain to installThe estimated installation time is for someone with a vehicle lift and every tool possible on hand. When you remove the trailer hook, you need to drop the exaust and remove the heat shield to access the top bolt. Make sure that you run the bolts through each mounting hole before hand to clean out the threads. Also, take the advice of everyone and run the wiring harness before you mount the hitch. To mount the hitch you will need a ratchet (air or manual)with an offset in order to reach the 2 bolts on either side all the way to the back. The frame of the hitch is directly under the bolt holes and there is hardly enough clearance to get 1 click of a ratchet unless you have an extension and the elbow/offset to reach. The heat shields do get in the way a bit but are easy to squeeze behind one side at a time. So far I have not used the hitch but at this point I would buy another from etrailer. I recieved my orders promplty and at a price I was unable to find anywhere else online or in stores. I will take and post a few pictures if possible to show what the final product looks like.

by:

The hitch fit perfectly. The instructional video was very clear making the process easy. The quality of the hitch looks good, but a little dinged from shipping. Most of the hitch is under the car, so you wouldn't even notice. It took me an hour to install. I did it by myself with a couple of jacks and stands.

by:
2010 Hyundai Veracruz

product arrived on time... installed myself using floor jack and 4' 2x4 for support on jack under hitch.. did not not have to remove supports for muffler or heat shield...cleaned holes for screws before installation ..hitch lined up with holes perfect!!
installed wiring harness first, as recommended by etrailer..directions said plug in for harness on driver said.. my hyundai veracruz plug ins were on passenger side!!

by:
Hyundai Veracruz

Box was destroyed and paint was scratched but no big deal. I tossed the instructions about removing mufflers and heat shields on my Veracruz and just lifted into place and bolted it in place. Worked great. Next time I'll free up the wire harness connections before installing the hitch because they were hard to reach after the hitch was in place.

by:
2008 Hyundai Veracruz

I received my order in record time and installed within a few short hours. Preparation was simple; lower the muffler and remove the heat shield in order to remove the factory installed tow hook. With the help of a friend, it was a simple matter of lining up the mounting holes from the frame to the tow bar. I was very impressed with the construction of the tow bar and it's weight alone told me it would last a lifetime. Highly recommend etrailer.com

by:

The product is outstanding. It is well built and easy to install for individuals with mechanical skills. The instructions are very straight forward and easy to follow. The packaging on the hitch could have been much better though. It was in a box that it was in did not survive the shipping. The hitch has a vew minor scratches but it in, over all, good shape. I have ye to see if the wiring module, that was taped to the hitch, is intact.

by:

It was a little more difficult for me to install than what others have described, and I'm a pretty handy person. I only had to remove the tow hook from one side so the bolt holes on the other side were pretty rusty. It helps to WD-40 the rusted ones - it was a pain to thread. You definitely need a helper or some way to hold up the opposite side of where you are working. Otherwise the install is pretty self-explanatory. This is a beefy hitch and weighs quite a bit. I'm impressed so far.

Hyundai Veracruz

Had local auto repair shop install on the Veracruz. Took all of 25 minutes for them to drop the exhaust and install. This thing is SOLID and the bike rack fits perfectly...vacation, here we come! I'm reccomending eTrailer to anyone in the market for a hitch...

Installation info/videos on the site made it a snap to install, the order was prompt and complete and all is working as expected.

  • Finding Sway Control When Towing with 2011 Hyundai Veracruz
The Curt Class III Trailer Hitch # 13545 is confirmed to fit your 2011 Hyundai Veracruz but it won't offer anything in the way of sway control when towing a trailer. The best way to add sway control to your setup when towing a trailer is with a complete weight distribution with an integrated sway control design. Because this Curt hitch isn't rated for use with a weight distribution system, I actually recommend going with the Draw-Tite Class III Hitch # 75532 instead, which is rated for...

  • Does The Draw-Tite Hitch, # 75532, On The 2010 Hyundai Veracruz Fit Under Or Over The Exhaust
I called the supplier (Draw-Tite) to see if the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 75532, will sit under or over the exhaust on the 2010 Hyundai Veracruz. They said you will lower the exhaust and install the hitch then raise the exhaust back into position, so it will be over the exhaust. I do not have a picture of this hitch on a Hyundai Veracruz, but I will send you a link to the instructions that shows where the hitch will be located in reference to the rear fascia.

  • Elements Included in Factory Tow Package for 2010 Hyundai Veracruz
The best way to determine with certainty how your Veracruz was equipped from the factory would be to contact your Hyundai dealer. If you provide them with your VIN, they should be able to provide you with the information you need. My research indicates that the towing capacity of the Veracruz is 3500 lbs "When Properly Equipped". For some vehicles this means simply adding a hitch and a trailer wiring harness. Other vehicles might require a transmission cooler, oil coolers, power steering...

  • Will the Thule Hitching Post Pro 4 Bike Rack Fit on a 2011 Hyundai Veracruz
The Thule Hitching Post Pro 4 Bike Rack, # TH934XTR, is a great choice for your 2011 Hyundai Veracruz as long as you have a trailer hitch. I have attached a video review of this bike rack being installed on a 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe for you to check out. • Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2011 Hyundai Veracruz
We do not carry any hitches for the 2011 Hyundai Veracruz that are totally hidden behind a rear body panel. All of them are designed to fit below the rear bumper like the Draw Tite part # 75532 that you mentioned. This is still the best hitch for your vehicle though. It installs a bit easier than the Curt and doesn't require the stabilizer strap when carrying a non-supported load like a bike rack like the the Curt does as well.
