Today on our 2003 Toyota RAV4, we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Hitch, part number 75125. This is what our hitch will look once it's installed. Next, we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements to assist you in selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the spare tire is 10 inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 15-1/2 inches. This will assist you in selecting accessories such as a drawbar, a bike rack, or a cargo carrier.
Now, let's go ahead with the installation. Next, we'll go ahead and point our attachment points. Here are the two attachment points on the driver's side. It will be identical for the two attachment points on the passenger's side. Next, we'll go ahead and clean out the weld nuts.
To do this, well use a 1/2-inch nylon tube brush, part number 814092 and some spray lubricant. First, we'll spray that down and then clean out the weld nuts to break up any dirt, dust, and debris that might build up over time. All right, now that we have the weld nut cleaned out, I'll even go ahead and take one of the new bolts and thread it in to make sure it will go nice and easily. Once we complete this for all four weld nuts, we're ready to install the hitch. To install the hitch, we'll use the new hardware, the 12-mm bolt and a 1/2-inch conical toothed washer with the teeth of the washer facing the hitch.
All right, let's go ahead and put our hitch in place. We'll take all four fasteners and screw them in finger tight, and then we can go ahead and tighten them down. Next, we'll go ahead and torque each fastener to specifications as indicated in the instructions. And that completes the install of our Draw-Tite Hitch, part number 75125 on our 2003 Toyota RAV4.

I bought this for a 2004 Toyota Rav4. My 21 year old F-350 is rusting away and I wanted an alternate means for occasional, light duty hauling.
The hitch receiver arrived on time and was carefully packaged for shipment. Metal is hefty. Joints and welds look good. Had I unwrapped it before installation, I would have found the M12-1.25 bolts and studded washers which were stuffed inside the receiver proper.
I also bought the wiring harness. I'm a newbie and was rather anxious about prying the plastic body panels open for wire routing. Careful review of the video accompanying the written installation instructions suggested starting at the top and working down. It was straightforward.
Only glitch was that the wire bridging the driver and passenger sides was too tight for comfort. I spliced in an additional 8" and the system was working minutes later.
About an hour, altogether. If I do it again, it'll be 30 minutes or less

ALL of the items I ordered are beautifully made and of high quality. I watched the video on the Trailer Hitch installation which stated an approx. 30 minute installation time. If my torque wrench had not mysteriously disappeared, I would have been finished with the install in 15 minutes. Since I had to drive to our local Advanced Auto Supply and use one of their "lend for free" torque wrenches, It actually did take the full 30 minutes to install. Perfect. I've been looking for a hitch for my Rav and found this one. Honestly, it was too easy to install, so I only have pics of before installing and after. I think it took 25 minutes, tomorrow, the wiring harness. And I have taken the cardboard off. Enjoy.
Thanks i got the product within three days wish is good. it fit real easy to put on. try get it at the car parts store could not get it . I plan use to tow 4 by 6 trailer to carry stuff on my wife's RV4 work nice. I use to have 2000 tacoma4x4 last year frame rot out and now is gone so that trailer hinch solve my problems!
Went on in about 10 min some of the other brands have nicer paint on them than the one I got but it still looks good and fit great

I was in an emergency hurry for this item and etrailer promised the fastest shipping compared to several other retailers. I'm a first time customer and etrailer came through. Product is as expected, and pricing was very competitive. Also, etrailer's tracking system is better and way more detailed than Fedex and UPS. I don't understand that, but UPS showed me like two entries while etrailer had a whole page of every event that happened throughout the delivery trip./ A+!
First off excellent service, I wanted the hitch on a particular day, and it was. Now the hitch, it is an excellent product, fit the vehicle exactly, and had the right hardware included, including the heavy duty washers. The hitch has a 2 inch receiver, and built very solidly, used a 3 way Reese ball, which slid into place and was able to use a large pin to secure. The whole thing start to finish was on in 10 minutes. Thank you etrailer, for an awesome experience.

I looked everywhere for a trailer hitch for a newly acquired 1994 RAV4 with no success. My wife looked on line and found etrailer.com. I contacted etrailer.com. Found the trailer hitch I needed and ordered it. It arrived two days later, and was installed the next day. I found this experience amazing since I was told the car was too old, and it would be very unlikely to ever find a trailer hitch that would fit my car.
I ordered the product and paid a little bit extra to have it shipped 3 day. Initially I was told it would be in Monday, but it arrived on Saturday as planned, so I was happy. The hardest part was removing the four bolts on my Rav4 for the installation. Once removed, it took me less than 15 minute to install. It looks great. My only issue is I need an extender for my bike rack to work due to the spare tire.

Almost perfect for a 1997 rav4. The hitch didn’t quite fit at first, so I had to unscrew the mud flaps, install the hitch, then reinstall mudflaps over the hitch. Easy fix. The awkward back door on the Rav won’t quite close with the ball installed. But those are rav4 problems. Otherwise great product.
Arrived quickly. Cleaning out the pre drilled holes in the frame on a 13-year old vehilcle was tedious, but necessary. Hitch seems well made, paint could be a little thicker/durable, but hey, it s a trailer hitch.
Everyone was very helpful and the hitch arrived in a very timely manner. I found it very easy to install. I still have to tackle the wiring harness. So far I am very satisfied.

The unit arrived in good shape via UPS ground shipping, although one end of the hitch had punched through the end of the box during handling. Installation was as easy as the demo video made it look with no clearance issues.
Easy to install, I use the hitch to hold my bike carrier on the back of my car.
