Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2"

My order was shipped immediately and arrived quickly. I took the hitch to my local mechanic to install. It didn't exactly bolt on as advertised, but I was expecting this because another review reported issues on a 1997 QX4 install. The mechanic had to, "do a little work with the angle grinder." He and I agree it's a well made, solid hitch.1747884

Hitch frame came bent, ended up having to hit it with a hammer for it to slide in. Said it fit my car but I had to drill holes in order for it to fit. Overall, disappointing. Never would have bought it if I knew it would be this much trouble. Wth1659504

Let me start out by differentiating the retailer/seller (etrailer) and the manufacturer of the product (Curt). My dealings with etrailer has been fantastic. They did everything that I would have expected. They shipped the order, sent me updated information along the process. They are the ones reaching out for my response.

The problem that I had was with the manufactured product. It was a "Curt" hitch receiver for a 1999 QX4. I'm not necessarily upset with the Curt Receiver (per-say), but more so about the design. It did not fit my vehicle without modifications to the vehicle. I was able to install it and happy with the final result. However, the average person does not have the knowledge nor ability to make those modifications in this circumstance.
Just so that we are clear, I am not a licensed engineer suggesting nor advising anyone else to make the modifications shown in this video. Nobody advised me to make these modifications.1531902

Received the product on time. Installed it the next day without a "hitch" and now it's sitting as if it has always been part of the SUV. I installed it alone, but if you can have someone help you it would lessen the installation time. I'll be adding the electrical connections next, as soon as I buy it, but for now I'll be using it to carry my bicycles. It's a very sturdy product and the people at etrailer were very responsive in getting the product to me within the delivery time-frame.375928

I am very pleased at the speed and accuracy of the order that I placed. The Hitch for our Nissan Pathfinder fits very well and was easy to install. I also reviewed the video that was on-line and it explained the process of installation which was a great help to me. As far as receiving the order it arrived much sooner than I had expected and in good condition. I have since order another item for the hitch and it was shipped immediately. Great Job! I would use this company again and refer to my friends.
