The hitch fits perfectly. Took about 2 hours to install. No issues with the product itself. All my troubles came from the car. Couple of helpful hints: use a floor jack to lift the hitch and you can do the job by yourself. Also, use a wire brush to clean the attachment points and spray some lubrication in it. It’ll make installing the bolts a whole lot easier. Lastly, have a long 12” or longer extension available and you won’t have to squeeze your hand into little spaces.

Perfect product. Great instructions online. Make sure you install wiring harness before installing hitch.

2010 Hyundai Veracruz

After reviewing the installation instructions and videos you provided on the internet for the wiring harness and hitch for my 2010 Hyundai Veracruz I felt I could tackle the installation. I'm 80 and it has been a while since I have done something like this. Your instructions were right on and like following a cookbook. The Curt 13545 model met my requirements. I did drop the spare to give me more room since I was not using a lift. Using the spare as a pivot point I was able to attach one side of the hitch and then using blocks I moved the other side into place with out having to lift and hold the assembly. I didn't have to remove the exhaust completely, just slipped the rubber mounts free and was able to get to all the heat shield bolts without much contortions. The wiring harness just snapped into the sockets on the Veracruz and routing was as you described. The electrical checkout was just as described. While it took me about 5 hours by myself, everything was doable. The hitch, Harness, Ball Mount assembly and Ball could not have been better. No photos, crawling around on the garage floor kept me busy.

The over all quality of shipment and hitch was good. I do not recommend trying to install without a powered ratchet be it air or Electric. I was able to install the rear bolts with a hand ratchet and a lot of upward force. The problem was the front bolts cannot be started straight on with a standard wrench due to the hitch frame being in the way. Also, the nylon lock bushings are in front of the bolt threads instead of past them. A very poor design on Hyundi's part. I had to pry upward with pry bar on an air ratchet to get it started into the nylon lock bushing. If you don't have the right tools, pay a mechanic to do it.

Ford Flex

Not the best hitch design
Even with
the tether for the hitch mounted bike rack as tight as possible the hitch itself has alot of flex and bounces alot.
Not the best design

  • Finding Sway Control When Towing with 2011 Hyundai Veracruz
The Curt Class III Trailer Hitch # 13545 is confirmed to fit your 2011 Hyundai Veracruz but it won't offer anything in the way of sway control when towing a trailer. The best way to add sway control to your setup when towing a trailer is with a complete weight distribution with an integrated sway control design. Because this Curt hitch isn't rated for use with a weight distribution system, I actually recommend going with the Draw-Tite Class III Hitch # 75532 instead, which is rated for...

  • Is There a Curt 1-1/4" Receiver Hitch for 2007 Hyundai Veracruz
While I do have a solution for you, there is not 1-1/4" hitch that will fit your 2007 Hyundai Veracruz. I do, however, still recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch receiver 2" # 13545 for your Veracruz. In order to have a 1-1/4" receiver you simply need an adapter. I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter - 2" (Class III) to 1-1/4" - 4" Long # C45770 for your needs. This will allow you to use any 1-1/4" accessories you may have. I have attached a video review of the adapter for your...

  • Most Concealed Hitch Recommendation for a 2011 Hyundai Vercruz
The hitch that will be the least visible when installed on your 2011 Hyundai Veracruz is the Curt Hitch part # 13545. The crosstube of this hitch comes up higher than the other hitches for your vehicle so it would be the most hidden of the confirmed to fit hitches. You will still be able to see the hitch opening once installed, but at least the rest of the hitch will be largely out of plain sight.

  • What is Towing Capacity of 2007 Hyundai Veracruz
Generally speaking vehicle frames are actually really strong and a great place for attaching a trailer hitch. The Curt hitch part # 13545 that you referenced was rigorously tested for capacity and it can safely tow a trailer that weighs up to 3,500 lbs and has a tongue weight of up 350 lbs. I did some checking on your 2007 Hyundai Veracruz and it has the same towing weight capacity which means that when a hitch is attached to the frame you'd be totally safe to tow up to 3,500 lbs.
