2009 Suzuki XL7

First of all, etrailer.com service is amazing. I ordered the hitch, wiring and ball kit on wednesday afternoon, they were on my doorstep friday morning!! Wiring installation was a breeze, however on my 09 XL7, the plug for the harness was up in the pillar above the jack, not on the floor below it, aside from that it took me less than 5 minutes to install and verify the wiring was correct. The hitch was easy to put on as well, although an extra set of hands isn't a bad idea, makes it easier to hold it in place till you get the bolts started. I had the hitch and wiring installed in less than 20 minutes, no drilling, cutting, welding of anykind! It doesn't get any easier than this. I saved a little over $100 doing this myself (based on quote from a certain rental company that installs hitches)...not bad for 15-20 minutes of work. Excellent product, excellent service, I would absolutely recommend etrailer.com to anyone.

Excellent product!! Would definitely buy from etrailer.com again!!

It fit perfect the only problem was the hardware was the wrong size. So I had to run 20 miles to town to get the correct bolts. So 4 out of 5

  • Trailer Hitch Receiver Fit for 2008 Suzuki XL7
We do have a trailer hitch for your 2008 Suzuki XL7, but the one you mentioned will not fit as it is for certain model year Chevy/GMs and Saturns. For your XL7 what you will need is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13518. I have added a link below to a video install of this hitch for you to check out. And if you plan on towing and need a wiring harness for your 2008 XL7, the correct one will depend on if you have the factory tow package. If you DO have the tow package the correct harness...

  • Needing a Trailer Hitch and Wiring Harness for a 2009 Suzuki XL7
For your 2009 Suzuki XL7, we carry the Curt Class 3 Trailer Hitch # 13518 that is confirmed to fit. I attached an installation video for you. As for if your Suzuki is pre-wired for towing, you will have to see if your vehicle has the wire plug installed. To do this, please review the attached video on installing a trailer wiring harness on a 2009 Chevrolet Equinox. The two vehicles where manufactured together under a GM/Suzuki. The video will show you how to remove the jack cover panel...

  • Parts Needed To Tow a Trailer with a 2007 Suzuki XL7
I do have all of the parts that you need to tow with your 2007 Suzuki XL7 but I cannot advise on the compatibility of parts from our competitors. For a trailer wiring harness, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56012 is correct if you have the factory tow package or the Curt Circuit Protected Converter part # C56175 if you do not have the factory tow package. I have attached an install video for you that shows the install on a model with the factory tow package. If you...

  • No-Drill Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2009 Suzuki XL7
You are correct. The Curt trailer hitch # 13518 is a bolt-on installation and no drilling is required. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you. You will see that there are bolt holes on the frame of your 2009 Suzuki XL7 where the hitch will attach. All of the hardware to attach the hitch is included. If you plan on doing some towing I recommend the etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin and clip, and a carrying bag. For...

  • Trailer Hitch, Ball Mount, Hitch Ball, and Trailer Wiring for a 2008 Suzuki XL7
The Curt Trailer Hitch # 13518 for the 2008 Suzuki XL7 will have visible cross tubing beneath the rear of the vehicle. Based on where the mounting locations are on the vehicle, the hitch had to be designed accordingly and that is why there is visible cross tubing. It doesn't look bad, it is tucked right under the bumper. I attached an installation video for you to see how it installs and to see the finished product. If you plan on doing some towing the recommended ball mount is # C45010...

The included mounting hardware of the Curt hitch part # 13518 are 12mm-1.75 X 30mm Cl 10.9 Hex head bolts. All of the hardware is included with the hitch. The torque rating for all of the installation hardware that comes with the # 13518 that you referenced is listed in the install instructions that I attached in a link to the right.
