Today we're going to take a look at the Tow-Rax Corner Helmet Holder. This has been designed for use in the corner of, whether it's your enclosed trailer, your garage, wherever you might need a little extra storage for either helmets or spare gear. The part number on it is TWSPCHH. As you can see the helmet carrier or helmet holder is going to offer us a full aluminum construction; it's nice and light weight. We've got connection points all the way across the front here. It's going to help us hang any goodies we might want to; you could use it as a coat rack for your riding gear, if you wanted to hang it up there and kind of let it dry, or also for your tow straps and stuff like that. The same thing is going to carry all the way up the side and also over the top so if you'd like to place your helmet in there and maybe run a bungee across it.

If you've got something that you don't want coming out of here, you can secure it right there on the front. Same thing goes for the shelves. They've got a containment wall here on both of them. It's going to help to hold our gear in to place and keep it from coming out towards the front. Now that we've gone over some of the special features of it, let's show you how to install it. Our customer decided he wanted us to use it right there in this corner, so he can still use the shelf and also kind of get it up and out of the way which is what this is designed to for. To get you some extra storage up, out of the way in the corner where you're not constantly going to be running into it. The helmet holder is going to offer us pretty much limitless opportunities when it comes to mounting.

It does not come pre-drilled so you can choose exactly where you want your mounting locations to be, regardless of the application. You will need to provide hardware, the hardware is not provided. Today we've drilled out our holes already and we're going to use some self-tapping screws just to go in and hold on to our wood. The nice thing, or the thing I like about that, is it kind of gives you plenty of options when it comes to your weight capacity. Only you are really going to know how much weight you're going to be carrying on it so then you'll know how many fasteners and stuff like that you're going to need. Then it will just be a matter of once we've picked out our location, getting it into position, making sure we've got everything square there and then we'll just finish securing it. We're just going to be using for our application six, because we don't anticipate really having anything super heaving mounted onto it.

Just some helmets, some lights, some straps, that kind of thing. Now that we've got that in place we'll start, place our helmet in here, so you can see we're going to have good clearance, plenty of room and it really helps to hold it in place there for us. A couple of straps here we can just hang these from the front, kind of get them up and out of our way; or as we said coats, anything else that you might want to hang on there. Then if we had a second helmet we could throw that up there. If not, it comes in really handy for just packing away some of that gear that usually sits loose and just hangs out and we don't really have a spot for it. Guys, that's really all there is to it.

Before we go I wanted to go over a few measurements for you so you know exactly what kind of space you'll need to set aside or plan for, for the shelf. I'm going to measure from the very end of that corner right up to the front side of the shelf here so you'll know. That's going to be about 16". In addition to that we have about 1/4" lift. The furthest point out from the very corner will be about 16-1/4". Across the face this measures about 15-1/4". The shelves themselves have a front lip on them of about 2". From the back side, from our furthest outside point here which is about 10-1/2" out from the corner of our wall we're going to have about 9-1/4" coming out forward there.
