2013 Chevrolet Silverado - K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors - Electric/Heat w LED Signal - Textured Black - Pair

  • Full Replacement Mirror
  • K Source
  • Fits Driver and Passenger Side
  • Electric
  • Heated
  • Turn Signal

Custom, power towing mirrors replace the factory mirrors on your Chevrolet Silverado. The mirrors telescope out to extend your lines of sight. An LED arrow turn signal is built into each mirror face, and the heated glass clears frost and ice.

Features:

  • Extendable towing mirrors replace the factory side-view mirrors on your vehicle
    • No need for snap-on or strap-on mirrors that you constantly have to put on and take off
  • Telescoping function makes it easy to see around the sides of your trailer so you can safely change lanes, pass, and park
    • Pull mirrors away from your vehicle to extend your lines of sight
    • Push mirrors back into place when you're not towing
  • Power mirror adjustment lets you change mirror face position with the factory control inside your vehicle
  • Heated mirror glass clears frost and ice and reduces fogging
  • Red LED arrow in each mirror face lights up when turn signal is activated
    • High-intensity Muth LEDs are brighter than standard turn signal lights
  • Built-in spotter mirrors reduce blind spots
  • Hinged design allows you to fold mirrors up against vehicle for parking or for fitting into tight spaces
  • Durable plastic housing with textured black finish
  • Custom fit for your vehicle
  • Simple, no-drill installation
    • Same footprint and mounting points as factory mirrors
    • Mirrors plug into existing electrical wiring

Specs:

  • Quantity: 2 mirrors
  • Dual-mirror face dimensions: 12" tall x 7-3/4" wide
  • Distance from edges of mirrors to vehicle:
    • Extended length: 22-1/2"
    • Retracted length: 18-1/2"
  • 90-Day warranty

K-Source Towing Mirror Dimensions

Notes:

  • The power remote capability, heated glass, and LED turn signal of these mirrors will work only if your vehicle already has those functions.
  • These mirrors do not support the curb assist function.

These telescoping towing mirrors replace your OEM side-view mirrors and provide the extended view needed for safe towing. Now you can change lanes, merge, and pass other cars with confidence, even with a trailer in tow.

The mirror face on each custom mirror can be pulled out to give you an extended field of vision for towing. Simply push the mirrors back for regular use.

The entire housing of each mirror conveniently folds toward your vehicle for easy parking or maneuvering in tight spaces.

I'm very happy with these. The video made install a snap. I installed on a 2010 Silverado 1500. I did not have turn signals in the mirrors before, but I do now! These mirrors fit great, work exactly as advertised, and are worth the price.

After a year, I still love these mirrors. Even regular daily driving, I really like having the larger mirrors. Across the board these have been a huge upgrade for me.

Have held up well after more than a year of use. I feel safer towing and parking with these over the oem and other mirrors I have used

by:
ChevroletSilverado

'09 Silverado C1500. I started with the CIPA Slip On mirror extenders, they were okay, economical, but didn't feel I could see along the curb side of the trailer well enough. It was always a guess as to whenI had overtaken a vehicle before making the lane change to the right. Recently bit the bullet and laid out the cash for the K-Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirrors. Wish I would have done this sooner!

I have read reviews about these type replacement mirrors with some noting a shaking or vibration in the main mirror. These are rock solid. I have also seen reference to the mirrors canted upward, arms not parallel to the ground, NOT the case for these when installed on my '09 Silverado. To those not familiar with what was standard for this year model, you could mistake them for OEM. FIt is perfect.

It took a couple drives to get use to the vertical height, as compared to the horizontal width of the OEM mirrors. While a bit of a trade-off, one that I see as well worth it. It has been easy to get the driver side dialed in to completely eliminate the blind spot, still adjusting the passenger side mirror to find that sweet spot to eliminate the blind spot while still maintaining the ability to see the trailer wheels to know where they are tracking.

Haven't towed the 5th wheel yet, will post an update but am confident I will have the visibility along the passenger side to better gauge lane changes to the right.

2009 ChevroletSilverado

The installation was easy on my 2009 Chevy Silverado. Make sure you connect to the "Black" plug connection on the truck. The mirrors work very well. I especially like the integral lower wide-angle blind spot mirrors. I tested them at 70+ miles per hour and there was very little perceptible vibration. I can't wait to try them out with the trailer

2008 GMC Sierra

Installed on 2008 Gmc Sierra Sle. OEM mirrors were power adjust with defrost function. New mirror allowed me to add the turn signal function, however I did check the wiring harness to ensure it was compatible to take this function before the purchase. New mirrors were good quality just as good as OEM if not better. Installed they definately enhance the trucks overall appearance. I will be using these to tow a 30’ travel trailer so the larger mirror surface will help with visibility of the trailer. The only con is the main mirror in the housing does slightly vibrate when hitting bumps in the road, its very minor though and otherwise is stable on smooth surfaces.

Watched several videos online for door panel removal. Literally took 3 tools. Flat head screwdriver, needle nose pliers and a 10mm socket with extension. Having never done anything like this, it took 2 hours to install both mirrors by myself.

2011 Silverado 1500 crew cab had standard power adjust mirrors. No turn signals as originally equipped.

Was surprised to gain turn signals in the mirrors as all I did was plug and play. Power adjust works. So I can confirm 2 of 3 features work. Turn signal function an added bonus/new option and power adjustment. Truck doesn't have a heated mirror on off. So not sure that will be working.

Seem to be made of good quality. The mirrors tuck in easily towards the vehicle so they are not sticking out when parked. This is not a powered fold in mirror. It is manual.

Added this for towing. With 20+ inches that should give great line of site down the trailer and also the signal in the mirror alert others that you intend to move over.

by:

My review is mixed…. As an extendable mirror the do their job. The defrost works and the turn signal work fine. They were easy to install. That is where my favorable review ends.

What I do not like about them.
-They are not compatible with the preferred driver settings. So all adjustments need to be made with the power mirror switch when changing drivers. You cannot save Driver 1/ Driver 2 preferences.
-Every time I use the key fob to unlock my truck doors the mirrors move to unusable positions and must be readjusted. Which would not be as big of a hassle if the driver preferences worked.
-Every time I use remote start the mirrors move to unusable positions and must be readjusted. Same as above would not be that big of a deal if the driver preferences worked.

Put it this way, I do not know many people that would not get annoyed/ irritated if they had to adjust their mirrors every time they got into their vehicle….every time….

Overall, I would say the bad out ways the good on this purchase!

I agree that adjusting the mirrors every time would be irritating so I reached out to the manufacturer about it. They advised that it sounds like the truck has the call curb assist feature. To keep the mirrors from adjusting you will need to turn this feature off. You can access the vehicles DIC and look for the [curb assist] then turn off both sides. The DIC is accessed by pressing the i button on the steering wheel. Scroll the menu to the [Curb View] setting and set them to off. The memory feature may also need to be turned off if you still see the glass adjust by itself. I hope this information helps

2013ChevroletSilverado

After giving much thought and reading many reviews on aftermarket mirrors I decided to add a pair of K Source mirrors to my 2013 Silverado 1500. I decided on these and couldn’t be happier. The fit and finish of the mirrors and beautiful. My factory mirrors were power but didn’t have the turn signals in them, but after I installed the new ones the turn signals work. Definitely a bonus!
The customer service at etrailer was awesome, I was helped by Judy and see was great! Highly recommend these mirrors.

Installed on a 2011 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD diesel crew cab 4 x 4. Excellent fit and finish. The installation video is beyond helpful - a must do before starting the removal/install. I'm mechanically inclined, the panel removal tool is also a must. I think it took me more time to gather tools and find a chair to support the door panel than it did to switch out both mirrors (I didn't want to leave the door panel dangling from the wiring harness or the cable for the door opener) The only thing I really wish was different was the black backs on the mirrors - I was really wanting chrome backs but they're not available through etrailer. They'll grow on me I 'spose over time but I miss the chrome....

Minnehaha M.

9/7/2020

The mirrors still look brand new. I put some spray wax on the backs of them to help with bug removalclean up. But I do miss the chrome on a black pick up. They are a must for towing an enclosed trailer that I cant see around. When pulled out for towing I have remind myself to clean the mud and bugs off the arms that slide inside the mirror base so there easy to put back in the non-towing position. I wont go without these towing mirrors ever. I had tried the clip n style years ago and hated them - in fact I lost one of them because of the high winds while towing. Any way - just buy a pair - youll see they are the bomb!

2012 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Took about an hour to install myself on a 2012 Chevy 1500. Flathead screwdriver and 10mm socket. Everything fit up perfectly and everything works now that used to work before. (The up and down motor has never worked on the passenger side. The signal just doesn't reach it.) I had the added bonus of the mirror turn signals working perfectly when I didn't have them on the stock mirrors.

The mirrors extend in and out solidly and fold in to clear the garage door nicely. Much better view around my trailer.

Andrew

6/3/2021

Still working great. They get folded in almost daily since I normally park in my garage. No issues at all and a much better view than the stock ones.

by:
2014 GMC Sierra 2500

Arrived as scheduled and the packaging was very good. The mirrors are very sturdy and don't vibrate at all. Installation time wad about one hour but I have had some experience in removing the inner door parts. I do think if you do not have any experience with them the installation will be longer. Everything works great and advertised and again etrailer.com comes through.

2012 Chevrolet Suburban

They fit good on my 2012 sub, but they don’t always work electrically as they should. Sometimes I can’t adjust them the first time I try. Eventually they work.
I would buy them again because they fit easily and they are big so you are able to see well.

Ordered trailer mirrors for 2014 GMC 2500HD. Mirrors arrived FAST! Items were well packaged. Even studs were protected with rubber sleeves! Installation was fairly fast too. Had a small hick-up routing mirror cable to console; easy to fix. etrailer's video helped. All in all I'm a happy camper. Beside's having mirror adjustment controls working, turn signal LED's work too! I've bought other items from their trailer lighting and hitch related menu's. Thank you etrailer!

2008 Chevrolet Suburban

Great option over oem for an older vehicle. Tiny tiny tiny bit of jiggle in the large glass at times Like being in heavy wind). Images still clear, considering savings it is ok for me. Great fit, finish, wiring, etc. otherwise. I'm a repeat cust to etrailer. These were about the best deal I found for these style and features on a replacement mirror set to refresh old tired and broken ones on our '08 'burban- and knew they woud be here quick! Just love how fast (any) product arrives from them!
Thanks K-source and etrailer.

by:

These mirrors are very obviously high quality and they look great on my truck. I'm very happy that I was able to retain the power adjustability and heated functions, as well as the turn signal in the mirror. A bit of a bummer that I can no longer press a button and fold them in, but that's really not a feature that I use often at all, so this really won't affect me.

Only reason for giving these 4 stars is because once installed and driving, the glass vibrates ever so slightly. Aside from that, they are very clear and high quality. I'll look into fixing the vibration myself with some foam or something like that, but all in all these mirrors are a good buy and I'd recommend them to other people looking for tow mirrors.

by:

The mirrors arrived in 3 days packaged very well . When I opened the box I was happy to see the quality of the mirrors was as good as what came on my truck originally . Installation was easy and the blinker works witch is something I didn't have before. So far I'm very satisfied with this product

2014 GMC Sierra-2500

Mirrors have held up great during the past year. Adjustments and directional indicators work the same as OEM. Wish the extension of mirrors was incorporated like OEM. Have to manually extend and retract, and compress.

by:

Great fit. Took my time and did the install myself. Has all the functions of my original set with the nice advantage of extending the mirrors when towing. Also gained a turn arrow flashing in mirror when turning.

by:
2013ChevroletSilverado

Was easy to install only took a hour from watching the video. Was worried that the turn signals would not work but found out if you have heated mirrors or rear window defrost the wire harness is wired with the signal in it. Plug and play. This is on a 2013 silverado.

by:
2009 ChevroletSilverado

Works as advertised. Installs easily - plan on giving yourself an hour and a half. Directions could be slightly less vague. You'll need a small socket set with an extension and a flat head screwdriver, or the appropriate auto tool to help take off the door panels.

by:
2010 ChevroletSilverado

Easy install even for a relative novice. Fit was perfect on my 2010 Silverado 2500HD. Nice factory OE look. No noticeable vibration in the mirrors as some previous reviews have mentioned other than normal vibration of the truck. Would highly recommend these mirrors.
