Magnetic LED Tow Lights

A towed vehicle is required by law to have functional brake and signal lights that illuminate at the same time as the brake and signal lights on the motorhome or RV that is towing it. These removable tow lights make it easy to add running lights, brake lights, and turn signals to your towed car or trailer.

Simply mount the lights on your vehicle's trunk or roof with the heavy-duty magnetic bases. A 63" long section of wiring connects the tow lights, giving you enough slack to position the lights where you want them. Then run the 245" long wiring harness up to the front of your towed vehicle and across your tow bar and connect it to the 4-way flat on your RV.

If your RV doesn't have a trailer connector, then you can wire the extra 35" long 4-way harness that comes with this kit to your RV. And if your RV has a 6-way or 7-way trailer connector, an adapter (sold separately) will be required to connect the tow lights to your RV.

Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.

The wiring length should be increased by at least five feet. We have a small vehicle and still needed to use an extension. Otherwise it is a terrific solution.

Have not used yet but I think it will be great

by:

Bought these magnetic trailer lights for my hitch-mounted e-bike rack. With two bikes on the rack, the rear car lights are partly obscured. These lights attach firmly to the rack with the magnets but I will secure them with straps as the rack surface is rounded. Plenty bright. Haven’t gone any distance yet, but I will drive reassured that the cars behind will better see my braking and turning.

These work fine and are bright. I plant them behind my toad's roof rack and add a little duck tape for security. I have lost other ones before. It may be overkill on these as magnet is good.

I've seen magnetic tow lights before but not like these LED's. As soon as they arrived I opened them up, checked them out and they are very well built, the magnets seem very firm and they are BRIGHT. The video on the ETrailer site does no represent how bright these light are in my opinion. Very pleased with the quality and how visible these lights are.

  • Lighting Options for 2016 Lincoln MKX that Is Flat-Towed Behind Motorhome
It sounds like you need a flat-towing wiring harness to allow your motorhome to control the lights on the towed MKX. There are several options for flat-towing lighting and these vary in cost, complexity of installation and in how permanent that installation is. With a brand new vehicle like your MKX you can consider a set of magnetic lights like # TLL21RK, which uses a 4-pole flat type connector. This kind of lighting kit means you do not have to cut into the brand new car's wiring or...

  • Tow Bar Adapter to Adapt Blue Ox Base Plates # BX1675 to Roadmaster Stowmaster Tow Bar # RM-501
The Roadmaster/Blue Ox adapters you referenced, parts # RM-031 and # RM-031-5, do not fit the Stowmaster tow bars. The Blue Ox base plates # BX1675 for your 2008 GMC Acadia are designed for use with motor home mounted tow bars and not car mounted tow bars like the Stowmaster. Further, your 2008 Acadia may weigh too much to allow use of any tow bar adapters, which are only rated for use with vehicles up to 5000-lbs. A better and safer option is to use a directly-compatible Blue Ox tow...

  • Solution for Blocked Tail Lights When Using Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack
I do have a solution for you, but Thule doesn't offer a light kit specifically designed for your EasyFold XT bike rack, # TH903202. One option is to use the LED Light Kit # 98174LED along with two mounting brackets # BK70BB . This would most likely require permanent modifications to your EasyFold though, since you'd need to drill holes to mount the lights on the rack itself. You could try to use zip ties to attach the mounting brackets to your bike rack, but it wouldn't be the most secure. A...

To use your Roadmaster StowMaster # RM-501 on your 2010 Hyundai Tucson you will need to find a Roadmaster base plate kit 1628-1 as we no longer carry this. If you are unable to find this I recommend using the Demco Base Plate # DM9518277 with our etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e34ZR. • Which Tow Bar Light Kit for Flat-Towing 2011GMC Acadia
The RoadMaster Bulb and Socket Set for Tail Light Wiring Kits, part # RM-155-2, is not compatible with your Acadia lighting system. These incandescent bulbs will not fit in your tail light housing due to the presence of the circuit board that powers the Acadia's LED lights. Also, they would generate much more heat than the specified LED bulbs and might interfere with the nearby circuitry. If you will be towing your vehicle only on occasion, you may want to consider a magnetic towing light...

  • Why Can Optronics Magnetic Tow Lights Only be Used with Vehicles Under 80 Inches
There are certain lighting requirements for vehicles or trailers that are over 80 inches wide that magnetic lights such as # TLL21RK cannot provide. You would need front and rear clearance lamps that are mounted at a 45 degree angle (PC rated). So if the back of the vehicle was a square for example, the light would be at the corner pointed half way between the side and the rear of the vehicle. They need to be placed as high as possible.
