Will The Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar Work on a 2010 Hyundai Tucson?  

Question:

I am looking at a 2010 Hyundai Tucson to be my new towed vehicle. It has a manual transmission. I have a Roadmaster Stowmaster tow hitch and would like to know if I can purchase a base plate and adapters to fit the Tucson and adapt to the stowmaster hitch. Thanks

To use your Roadmaster StowMaster # RM-501 on your 2010 Hyundai Tucson you will need to find a Roadmaster base plate kit 1628-1 as we no longer carry this. If you are unable to find this I recommend using the Demco Base Plate # DM9518277 with our etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e34ZR.

You will need a Wiring Kit # RM-15267 if you do not already have Magnetic Tow Lights # TLL21RK you use with your other vehicle. A braking system like the Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39524 is also needed to reduce brake wear on your tow vehicle brakes and with most state laws. This brake system includes a charge line to prevent the battery on your Tucson from being drained while you are towing.
