Adapting 6-Pole Square RV Connector to 4-Pole Flat Connector for Use With Optronics Lights # TLL21RK
Question:
My RV has the 6 way flat connector. Can this be adapted to work with this TLL21RK light set?

There is no plug-in adapter available to mate a 6-pole square RV connector directly to a 4-pole flat connector, but we do offer a 6-Pole Square Trailer Wiring Connector Kit, part # 37995, that can work for you as long as you do not have a Jayco RV (which can have compatibility issues with this part).
Hopkins Connector Kit # 37995 includes both male and female connectors. You can cut off the 4-pole flat connector from the MaxxTow Magnetic Light Kit and splice in the male 6-pole connector in its place (the male connector is the one with the exposed ground pin, as illustrated in the photo provided).
You will need to apply a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to each of the pins on the RV connector to confirm what function is carried by each. Wire colors are sometimes not consistent by function so you cannot rely on color alone to wire in the 6-pole to the Optronics lights. Once you confirm the function on each pin on the RV side you can confidently splice the 6-pole male connector to the Optronics wiring.
