Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at this Blue Ox taillight wiring kit with integrated LED bulb and socket assemblies for towed vehicles. This taillight kit is gonna give you brake, running, and turn signal lights for your towed vehicle without tapping into its wiring. It bypasses your towed vehicle's electrical system completely by routing this wiring beneath your towed vehicle and securing the wiring with cable ties that are sold separately, making sure that you stay away from anything that's going to pinch the wiring or from any heat sources. So, this kit is very nice in that.
As I said before, you're not gonna have to tap into your vehicle's electrical system. This kit has an integrated LED bulb and socket design that mounts inside of your taillight assembly. And the LED bulbs are smaller than traditional incandescent bulbs, giving you a better fit and a much simpler installation. As you can see here, I have this bulb and socket assembly already wired to my power source. So, let me go ahead and turn the power on just to give you a demonstration of the brightness here.
So, with my studio lights on, you can see that it's turned on and see the brightness. But let me go ahead and turn my studio lights off. Give you a better idea. So, this is simulating the running lights, and then that's gonna be what your brake lights look like when you hit your pedal, and then turn signal. And let me go for a wider view.
And again, running lights, and then brake lights. You can see how much brighter it's gotten. And then turn signals. Let me see if I can shine this on the wall behind me. Running lights, brake lights, turn signals.
So, these are, of course, white LEDs. So, they are going to last longer and burn brighter, and activate faster when compared to your incandescent lights. And the integrated bulb and socket assemblies are going to require only a 9/16 of an inch in diameter hole in your taillight housing for the installation. You just want to keep in mind that each of your taillight housings on your vehicle must have enough room for the extra bulb and socket assembly to fit. Also, you will need some silicone caulk, which is not included, to seal this socket in the taillight housing. Now, this is made here in the USA. It includes everything that you see here on my table before me. Again, you're gonna get two integrated white LED bulb and socket assemblies, and then the necessary wiring, a 26 foot long wiring harness, and then a 12 foot brown and green wire in this bundle here, and then two self-tapping screws, six butt connectors, two ring terminals, and a detailed sheet of instructions to walk you through the installation process. Now, your plug and extension loop for hook up to your RV is sold separately. So, if you do not already have those, you can pick that up here at etrailer.com. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..
