Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at this replacement eight foot long rubber cutting edge for Western Snowplows. Now this part here will replace the cutting edge of the scraper blade. That's on the bottom of your Western snowplow. It is a durable, rubber edge, and it mounts to the bottom of the blade, to break apart any ice, and scrape away any packed snow while you're clearing parking lots or driveways. This part number is comparable to the Western part number of 608291.
Now this is constructed of a very thick, durable rubber for impact resistance. You notice it does include the mounting hardware, I want to zoom in and show you. It does come with eight of the Grade 5 half-inch by 13 sized bolts, with the Nyloc nuts for attaching it. These parts are made in the USA. Dimensions again, overall length of this, is 96 inches.
Overall height is eight inches tall, thickness on this is one and a half inches. The mounting holes, which you can see, there's eight of them, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. And they're all equally spaced along the edge right here. Their distance between those holes on center are 13 inches, and the size of the hole themselves is one inch wide by three inch tall. Total weight on this edge is about 30 pounds.
