Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and today we're taking a look at the K Source Replacement Side Mirror. This is going to be for the passenger side of your 2013 through 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. So if you had a mirror on your passenger side get knocked off, damaged, or messed up in some sort of way, this is going to be a direct replacement for that mirror, get you seeing again, eliminate that blind spot for you while you're driving. It is going to have the convex lens that's typical for your driver's side, or your passenger side, so it gives you that greater wide angle field of view to reduce those blind spots as you're going down the road.Now you might notice that the cover is separate from the housing, it comes like that. The reason being is that if you wanted to paint this to match your vehicle, if your vehicle isn't black, if it's white or red or any other color that the Hyundai Sport comes in, you can get that painted to match and it's a lot easier to do that when the cover is removed from the overall housing.

That way you can paint it all up, let it dry, pop it on there and you shouldn't have any issues with over-spray on the rest of the mirror, or paint getting anywhere else that it shouldn't be. So, makes it really easy. With that, I would definitely say don't try to pop this on before you paint it if you do plan on painting it, because it's really hard to get these covers off once they're in place, a bunch of little tabs in there and once it's on the mirror, it doesn't really want to come off again. So just a word to the wise that if you do try to take it off once it's already been put in place, you might break some of those tabs and it might not fit as snugly again. But that's more or less what it should look like when that covers in place, of course it will fit a little tighter than that.We'll still have the turn signal integrated into the light, and also has the remote capability.

We'll have our heated function as well. All that is accomplished by the little electrical connection here, so you'll plug in your factory wiring into that plug, and be able to utilize all of those original functions from your mirror. Now that being said, if you didn't already have the remote function, or the heated mirror, or the lighted turn signal, this isn't going to upgrade you, it's just going to give you that functionality that you had before. So if you didn't already have the wiring in the vehicle to work with that, this isn't going to work. So just something to keep in mind there.

The things that it won't still support would be the memory function or the blind spot detection system or the BSDS. So if your vehicle already had that, this isn't going to still have those capabilities but should still have the same footprint as your original mirror.So you can see here, we'll have our three studs, also has three flange nuts to tighten that down. So, pretty much the install is just going to be taking off your old mirror, plugging in your wiring, and then replacing the hardware and tightening it down. So pretty easy install, no cutting or splicing, no drilling required, something you can definitely get done in a few minutes really, with just a simple screwdriver or a small ratchet to tighten down those nuts.Again, this is going to be for the passenger side. You can find that using our fit guide, and search for your year, make, and model and it should bring up that matching mirror. Also it still has the breakaway design, so if you notice down here at the bottom, it has that cutout. So if you wanted to bring that closer to your vehicle, make it a little bit more compact, you can still do that and then snap it out whenever you're driving. And that also will help the mirror to stay safe if somebody happens to hit the mirror on a narrower street, it should break away closer to your vehicle rather than breaking off.But that's pretty much all there is to it for our K Source Replacement Side Mirror.
