Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and today we're taking a look at the K Source replacement side mirror. Now this is going to be a replacement for the 2013 through 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe sport, and this is for the driver's side mirror.Now you notice that the cover is not in place. That's because they send this to you with the cover removed so that you can get this painted to match the rest of your Hyundai if you want to. And it's a lot easier to do that whenever this is removed from the mirror housing just to make sure that you don't get any over spray on your turn signal or on the mirror face or anything like that. So you can just tape it up, let it dry or tape it up, paint it, let it dry, then pop it in place.Once you have this in place, these tabs hold really securely on there, so it's pretty tricky to get it to get removed without marring or damaging or even breaking this cover.

So I would definitely suggest if you're going to paint it, do it before you put it on that mirror housing. But once it's in place, it's going to look really nice. It should just match right up with what your original mirror look like.It comes with new hardware to get that installed, so we'll have our studs and flange nuts to get this in place, so you'll just remove your old mirror, take off that hardware, and then put the new stuff on there. Plug in your wiring there on the side, so there's no cutting or splicing, no drilling required, just a really easy way to replace that mirror without having to take it into a dealer and do anything like that, so really should be something not too difficult to get installed yourself.This does have the OE grade flat glass for our driver's side, so it gives us a true representation of what's going on behind us, and this also has the power remote capabilities, so we can adjust that mirror face from inside our Hyundai. It just uses your controls since it does have that connection right there to our factory wiring.Also has the breakaway design, so if this happens to get struck by something, if you're on a narrow street or maybe pulling into a garage or anything like that and you happen to hit something, it's going to snap that in towards your vehicle rather than just breaking off, so it helps to protect that mirror in the case of any kind of accidental contact like that.Now, this does not support the memory function or the blind spot protection or detection system, and if you need those capabilities, this does not have that.

On the flip side of that, if you didn't already have the remote power capability, this is not going to work on your vehicle, if you just had a manually adjusting mirror.
