Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Derale 11 inch High Output Electric Fan. This is going to help increase the fuel economy and improve the overall performance of your vehicle by helping to maintain a proper airflow to your vehicle's radiator. Now, this can work as a replacement for the Derale RAD Fan models that you see on the screen there, so if you have any of those models, you can trust this is gonna fit right in place of that original fan to get you up and operational again. Because this is a Derale product, you can trust it's all gonna work together well, you're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues or anything like that. But this can also work as a standalone fan for you that don't already have any of those RAD models.

This is going to be an electric fan, so you're not gonna have to worry about pulling from your engine, causing more strain on your engine like a belt-driven fan would. So this is gonna have a high-watt, high-torque motor that's gonna draw 11 amps from your alternator. It does also have these oversize paddle blades in combination with that high-torque motor, it's gonna move a large volume of air through a max of 1,380 cubic feet per minute, so there's gonna be a lot of air moving through there. In addition, because this is an electric fan, it's not gonna slow down with your lower RPMs, so unlike your belt-driven fans, you're guaranteed a sufficient airflow going across your radiator regardless of the speed of the vehicle, so it is gonna do a good job making sure that as you're doing your towing and other strenuous activities that you're gonna have plenty of airflow going to your radiator. This can be mounted in various locations, it will require that it be mounted behind the radiator, it's only designed for pull applications, but as long as you're behind the radiator, you have lots of options.

They do include a standard mounting kit and installation instructions to make sure everything's gonna be installed properly, very simple to do just following those instructions. So the 11 inch from the name is the measurement right here at the front, so you can see it's gonna be about 11 inches opening there at the front. Our overall measurements, we'll measure from the backside here, we've got a little bit more of a lip, so it's gonna be a little bit wider for us. So overall width, it's gonna be right about 12 inches, you can see there, and then our height, up to our mounting tab here, it's gonna be right at about 12 1/2 inches, and then our depth, we're looking at approximately 3 3/8 of an inch deep. Now, our mounting pattern is going to be 6 3/4 of an inch wide by 11 1/2 inches tall, so keep that in mind when determining where you're gonna mount this, make sure that you're gonna have enough room.

They do include enough wire here for you to get this wired in place to power it up. This is designed to be waterproof and dustproof, so it's gonna be great for your off-road uses or if you just plan using it in a normal situation, you can trust that it's gonna hold up really well for you.
