Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and today we're taking a look at the tub strainer with threaded stopper. So this is the replacement for that tub drain with the stopper. So you can close that up, fill your tub full of water, take a nice bath. It's also going to have the ring nut and the rubber grommet there to help seal up everything. Although it's not a bad idea to still give some silicone sealant to go around the bottom lip of that drain so that you don't have any water seeping down through that grommet on the other side.
It's going to protect it from the backside as well. But just keep in mind that you always want to have some kind of sealant up at the top. This is going to fit drain openings up to 2" in diameter. Constructed out of a durable plastic, so it should last for a long time.Also don't really have any issues with rusting since it is made out of plastic there. Again has the locking nut, that rubber washer, the strainer and stopper.
As far as the outer diameter of our drain here, it's about 2-3/4" across. Outside diameter of our bottom portion is just about 2". Go to the outside edge of the threads. And as far as the total length or the bottom side length there it's about an 1-1/2" deep. Going from the top of our stopper, it's about 2-1/4" roughly.But that's what's going to do it for our look at the tub strainer with threaded stopper.
