What's up everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna checking out our LED reading light, so this is gonna be from Command Electronics. We install it in our hike camper today and it's gonna be able to go into two different modes, we have that, It's kind of like a nightlight, so it's like a dimer light and then this one's gonna be an adjustable reading light. So you can get that light wherever you need it, and it's pretty good for the three diodes, let's check it out. Take a closer look at it, you can manipulate the light wherever you need it.
And I know in the beginning I kind of went all around but I just wanna show, you can twist it in a bunch of different ways wherever you may need it. So you can point down like this, if you want it this way that way it's like softer all the around. But if you want full on light everywhere here in the hike camper, you point it up towards the top. So I like how adjustable it is and how you can kind of dim it or point it the way you want it. Now instead of having a switch, this one just has a tap button, so there's no clicking or anything.
It's just you putting your hand, your finger right on there, it lights up that section, the next section. So it's easy, there's not the normal click you get with a switch, but works just fine. It's very responsive every time I do it, it's never a delay or anything. And then we also have a USB port here at the bottom which is nice because you can never have enough USB, so the fact that it's two things in one I really like that, because you can plug your phone in up here, now we have a USB port down here but it never hurts to have a second one. One of the nice things about this is with the three diodes it's not as harsh of a light.
It gives you what you need. Like I said, you can kind of see how much it lights up our hike camper here. But if I turn this off and turn on the stone light it's really bright and kind of harsh, so if it's a late night or early in the morning and one person wakes up before the other one, they're gonna turn a light on. This is quite harsher and it's definitely gonna wake up the other person. If you go and use this, this one's a little more manageable to sleep.
It's got a brush nickel finish, so it blends in with most interiors. I like that it doesn't stick out really bad. It looks like it should go here. So we did a quick comparison, we can look at that light that we put in here and this is the one that was already in the hike camper, so it's already got that switch button to turn it on, so that's different there. It's a little bit of a harsher, more direct light, so it's not a spread out around the hike camper, like the other one we put in was. It also can move around almost 360, Not quite all the way, it does have a stop but you can turn around and move it. It's a little rougher at that, so it doesn't have the length and adjustability as the brushed nickel one we put in. Overall I think I like this light. I like how adjustable it is, how it lights up the whole area that I might need it to. The button isn't loud, so that's kind of nice. If there's somebody else with you you don't wanna wake them by just turning the light, you can hit that and it's nice. Plus, if you're out camping you probably don't want a bunch of noise going anyway. You wanna enjoy everything around you, so this is one last thing to annoy you. And then the USB port super helpful, like I said, you can never have enough. And if you have other extra devices and you've run outta ports, you don't have to decide what you wanna charge first. You can just do both of 'em at the same time and be done with it. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out and hope this helped..

We love them! They were a great solution to provide more direct light over the sofa and dinette in our RV to make reading easier. Especially like the low level “night light” and USB charging connection features as added bonuses.
We just got a new Winnebago Micro Minnie FLX travel trailer in December and quickly found out we needed reading lights by the bed. We purchased two of these lights and mounted them in a location that we could easily reach to turn off while remaining in bed. The flexible arm on the light lets us aim the light where it is needed. The light feels sturdy as you move the arm around to direct the light. We are well pleased with this purchase.
This is a very nice light. They are going overhead in the sleeping area of out TT. This will allow one person to read while not keeping the other one awake. Some of this style at the "A" place had problems catching on fire. This one is pretty simple and appears to be OK. It is well constructed.

Guess I should have paid a bit more attention to the actual dimension of the fixture, but they are so cute and tiny! I hope they work. communication is always good, shipping is as fast as always.
This was just about perfect to provide individual reading lights to save us having to get up out of bed to turn lights off after reading at night. The one thing I would do differently is make the brightness adjustable because it's more light than I really need. Point it away to reduce brightness and it works fine.
Had a defective unit from a previous order. Called customer service for a replacement and was greeted by 'Paula'. She was very polite, attentive, and dug into getting a replacement sent to me free of charge. The new unit arrived in about 7-10 days. Installed it and it works fine. Couldn't be happier. Have purchased many items from etrailer over the years, both electrical and mechanical in nature. Top quality products & customer service. KUDOS
This is my second set of these lights. First set replaced an inadequate pair of wall lamps over the bed in my first trailer. They were prefect for reading and my wife loved them. They also added USB charging to an older trailer. If I could have recovered them from that trailer for the new one, I would have.
The new trailer did not have enough USB changing ports or bedside reading lamps, so I bought a second set and tied them into the existing USB port wiring. I didn't have a helper or long enough arms to fish wires into the wall, so they ended up on the night stand. I was worried that they would not be flexible enough to point where I wanted, but they work great mounted like that.
Perfect for a small space. The two levels of light is very nice, and with a great usb for charging

Great compact light! I didn't realize it also has a night light feature. the touch switch has 3 states: Off-On-NightLight. An added feature. Only downside is that if this fixture is controlled by a wall light switch, turning this light on by the wall switch doesn't work. It's circuitry doesn't turn it on when power is restored to the fixture. You need to manually turn it on. Thus, we are getting in the habit of not using the wall switch, and only using the switches on the fixture. The reading light is perfect for nighttime reading: easily bright enough for may aging eyes to read by, and focussed well, so it doesn't disturb my wife.
Great replacement for original lights. The USB outlet is the best! Reading light is very bright and great for reading in the bunk whenever we need it.
Base of this light is small so you might need a larger base cover (as we did) to cover your existing wire opening.
Perfect faucet
The wife loves them. I would have given them an Excellent but only one of them came with the screws for mounting. I'm not worried as I have a ton of hardware to do it with. I'm really excited to get them mounted in place. They arrived before I expected and I really appreciate that.
Love these lights. The color and intensity is perfect and the touch on/off is really nice too. I like the nightlight option and the USB port is also helpful. I have really enjoyed this purchase.
