Need extra light on your kitchen counter for when you need to prep meals for the family? Or perhaps you need a light in the hallway so you can see where you're going when walking to the bathroom in the middle of the night? This puck light has warm white LEDs that give you accented light underneath a kitchen cabinet, in a closet, over a reading nook or chair, or in a walkway inside your RV or camper.
LEDs are more energy efficient, last longer, and burn brighter than lights with incandescent bulbs. You won't have to worry about replacing bulbs that have brittle filaments. And because LEDs draw minimal power, the light won't drain your battery, overload your circuits, or produce too much heat.
Recessed, Spring-Mount Installation is Easy
This puck light is incredibly easy to install as an upgrade or a direct replacement of your existing light. Because it has a low-profile, recessed design, you will need to cut out a 5-1/4" diameter hole if you're not directly replacing a light. To install, use the built-in clips to gently insert the light into the ceiling, wall, or cabinet, and the clips will hold the light in place. The light connects to ground (white wire) and power (black wire) and wires to an interior light switch.

Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this recessed mount, eight and three quarter inch round LED RV puck light with the frosted glass lens. Now this is a nice low profile dome light that will illuminate your RV's interior with a nice warm white light. It does use LEDs which make great replacements for the incandescent lights. They'll last about 50 times longer.
They're more efficient because they provide brighter light with less power output and, of course, no bulbs to replace or brittle filaments to break. And at the end of this video, I'm going to connect this to some power just to show you how bright this light is. This does use a frosted glass lens with white LEDs. It is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. It is a two-wire design. It includes a lead wire for power and ground wire, and it does include this external voltage regulator. Now to install this light, it's very simple.
There's no real hardware needed. Basically what you'll do is cut an eight inch diameter hole, which is this opening right here. Connect your two wires, the power and the ground, and then what you'll do is push these spring clips straight up just like that. They're spring-loaded and then put it into that eight inch diameter hole and once it gets fully installed, these clips will clip down and hold it into your ceiling just like that. This was a very simple installation.
Just push it up in the hole, the clips will flop down and hold it into place.A few specs on this. The CRI, which is the color rendering index, is 90. The light sources with a CRI of 85 to 90 are considered good at color rendering. Voltage, again, we mentioned it's 12 volts. Wattage on this is 15 watts.
The wire length is about 15 inches. Overall dimensions, just want to give you overall diameter from one edge to the other is eight and three quarter inches. And the depth or thickness of this is only about a half an inch.So again, what I'm going to do now is we're going to go ahead and hook this up to some power and I just want to turn it on to show you how bright it is. So the white wire's our ground wire. Black wire would be our power wire. Once we get that hooked up, I'm going to go ahead and turn on the 12 volt power and you can see how bright the light is. Very bright light. I'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and there you go. You can see how bright, so you can see once this is installed up in the ceiling, how bright alight it will give you. Very nice white light.Turn back on our overhead lights. Turn off our power, disconnect our wires. But that should do it for the review on the recessed mount eight and three quarter inch round LED RV puck light with the frosted glass lens.
