Today we're going to take a look at the Derale 14 inch heat sync power steering cooler with the installation kit. Now this cooler will help extend the life and improve functioning of your power steering applications. It is an all aluminum design for a nice high heat transfer. It'll absorb and then dissipate the heat effectively through both internal and external heat dissipating aluminum fins. The cooler core will flow in either direction, so on these ends where your ports are, the inlet and outlet port, it doesn't matter which one's which. You can use it for either one.

The size on those inlet and outlet ports is 3/8 of an inch NPT size. It is a compact three inch diameter housing, so it's capable of fitting most frame rails.It does include everything shown here on the table. The heat sync cooler itself, they give you four feet of 11/32 diameter OEM spec rubber hose, four stainless steel hose clamps, two of the 3/8 inch NPT hose barb with the 11/32 barb on there to hook into the hose there. And all your mounting hardware and instructions on how this installs. Now all Derale coolers are rated at 250 psi working pressure, 300 psi burst strength.Last thing I want to do is give you a few dimensions on the cooler itself.

We'll start with the overall dimension. That's going to be measured from this edge of the mounting bracket to this edge. If we put our tape measure on it, 14-1/4 inches long. The width on it is going to be right at 2-3/16 inches wide, and the overall height of it, the very top is going to be right at 3-1/4 inches tall. Now the mounting dimensions, you see your mounting holes right here.

We're going to measure the horizontal dimension center to center and then the vertical center to center. If we go horizontal center to center, it's right at 13-5/8 inches long and horizontal center to center right at 1-3/8 inches.But that should do it for the review on the Derale 14 inch heat sync power steering cooler with the installation kit.
