Speaker 1: Today, we're gonna take a look at the 25 ton swivel type pintle hook with the spring cushion. Now this swivel type pintle hook has both a spring cushion and a swivel action to reduce stress on the towing mechanisms and allow for off road and uneven terrain towing. The spring portion right back here reduces the stress upon acceleration and then the swivel action right here that turns the hook allows for travel over rough terrain. This part is ideal for construction and utility equipment, also military equipment, highway construction, towing purposes with loads up to 50,000 pounds. Now for off road use, the load should be reduced by 25%. Now additional braces can be attached to this using the built in lug, which is right down here at the bottom.
This is a strong Ford steel construction, has a nice black powder coat finish over it. If you notice right here, there's a grease inaudible 00:00:51 fitting that'll allow you to pump grease in there to lubricate the swivel action right here of the hook. Now the installation to install this, it does require the use of 11 1/2" diameter grade A bolts. Those are not included.Basically, there's one, two, three, four, five here and then one, two, three, four, five, six, so a total of 11. Now the draw bar eye dimension that fits this hook will be 2 3/8" to 3" inside diameter with a 1 1/4" to 1 5/8" diameter section.
Maximum gross trailer weight capacity on this is 50,000 pounds. Maximum vertical loader tongue weight capacity is 6,000 pounds and just to show you how to open up the hook, you just flip open the snapper hook, pull it out. It is attached to a chain so you don't lose it. Pull up on the T handle right here and once you pull up on that T handle, then you can raise this actually all the way up and then make your connection and once it's connected, all you have to do is just push it all the way down to lock it into place. Take your pin.
