50 Amp RV Power Cord for 2000 Winnebago Chieftain 36L Diesel Pusher

Question:

Looking at the grounding lug on the female side L14-50 twist-lock that connects to RV, its offset between 45 -90 deg counterclockwise in the picture like about 4:00. On my coach, the grounding plate is at 6:00 directly on the bottom. Ill disassemble the RV connector and see, but are these usually adjustable? as it is, the cord wont hang straight down, but will point out at 7:00-8:00. Also, what size wiring is in the cord section? I dont want to make an assumption that its correctly sized. thanks

I can't say whether or not a manufacturer has made an adjustable connection, but I haven't ever seen one. I checked with one of our cord manufacturers and they said that the orientation of the cords like the Camco PowerGrip # CAM55572 won't matter when plugged in, so the way it will hang down when attached to your RV isn't anything to be worried about.

The wires in these cords are 6/3+8/1 (6 gauge for 3 wires, 8 gauge for 1 wire).
