Today, we're going to be reviewing part number C48631. This is the Curt Lunnette Ring with a 3-position adjustable channel. This unit's going to have a weight capacity of 12000 pounds. The Lunnette Ring is designed to couple with a pintle hitch. The channel bracket is going to let you adjust the ring's height, so it will match the difference of vehicles. You're going to have 4 holes on each side that are going to offer 3 different mounting positions, position 1, position 2, position 3.
Mounting hardware is all included. You can see that over here. The entire unit's made from a heavy duty construction. It's going to be from a formed steel when it comes to the bracket and a forged steel construction when it comes to the Lunnette Ring. It's going to have a nice raw steel finish.
This can either be bolted on or welded on. The hardware is included. That's the smaller bolts, right here, for the bolt on installation. This product is made in the USA. Again, it's going to offer a weight capacity of 12000 pounds. The inner diameter of the Lunnette Ring here, that's going to give us an inner diameter of 3".
Outer diameter, simply measuring from outside edge to outside edge of the ring, that's going to give us a measurement of 6 1/8". Then again, that inside to inside, there, you can see that 3" measurement. The channel bracket dimensions, if we take a measurement of the width, inside's going to measure about 3". Outside to outside is where we're going to get our 3 1/2" measurement from. The overall height, that's going to give us a measurement of 7 1/2".
Then the mount hole spacing on this unit, measuring center on center, is going to be 2" apart. That's going to be the same separation for each set of holes. So, you can see here how the Lunnette Ring mounting portion slides right into the bracket. It's going to allow you to adjust it as necessary. The longer bolts, as well as the larger flat washers and the two lock nuts. Those are going to be what hold the Lunnette Ring to the bracket. Now, when it comes to the hardware, you're going to get two bolts that are going to measure 5/8" in diameter, 5 1/2" long. These are Grade 8 hex bolts. It's going to be for attaching the Lunnette Ring. Then, you're going to get two smaller bolts. These are going to be 1/2" diameter by 1 1/2" long. They're also Grade 8 and they're hex bolts. You're going to get two 5/8" diameter Grade 8 hex nuts, these right here. They are the nylon lock nuts on there. Those are great to have. Those are going to go on the larger bolts, attaching the Lunnett Ring to the bracket. Then, you're going to get four flat washers that are going to measure 5/8" in diameter Grade 8. Then, you're going to get two flat washers that measure 1/2" in diameter, Grade 8 as well. That's going to do it for our review of part number C48631. This is the Curt Lunnette Ring with 3-position adjustable channel. Again, it's going to offer a weight capacity of 12000 pounds. .
