The Upper Soft Door attaches to the lower door with door pins that include collars for an accurate fit. Lower door pivot pins offer further adjustment options for finding the perfect fit, and hook and loop strip fastens the Upper Soft Door to the lower half door. Double-bulb weather stripping surrounds door for complete protection from the elements.
Bestop 2-Piece Soft Doors are designed to match the color of Bestop soft tops and factory-original tops. Doors are compatible with Bestop Supertop soft tops.

Hello, etrailer friends, Steven here. Today, we're gonna be looking at this Bestop 2-Piece Soft Door Kit for your CJ-7 Jeep 1976 all the way up to 1986. That's right, we're going old school today, so bear with me. We're gonna take a look here at this black denim. It's got a nice clear window here that will zip down. It's got all the information here as far as safety and the ratings and everything.
It's got a very nice hook and loop system built in all the way up and around. It is a 2-piece door, so you will get the bottom, and you also will get a top piece or a window piece. Now, like I was saying, this window piece is openable. So it's got a nice built-in zipper here. Very nice, easy installation, very simple to use and operate, opens and closes very simple.
And like I said, you simply would just close it back up. Now, you'll see here it's got three different rods. Those rods will match up to a hole on the bottom side of the door. Here, here, and over there. Now, when I put the first one together, it was a little rigid to put together.
So when you've got this actually hooked onto the door frame of the Jeep, it's probably gonna be a lot easier for you to get it hooked together. Now, going back to those zippers, it is gonna come with some hardware kit, all your nuts and bolts you need, and even has some zipper lube in there. You've got a couple brackets here included as well. I'll get you a closeup of those. So you've got a couple brackets here as well, you've got a nice hardware.
The door handle is gonna be a nice spring-loaded door, so that spring latches in and out. You can also pull from the side when you got the door open. Now, they do come pre-cut. I went ahead and put the one in here just so you can kinda see it in action, so that one is installed. And like I said, very nice, it's gonna fit those CJ-7s, '76 to '86. It is compatible with all your Bestop Supertops and the Sunriders and the soft top applications. It does have a nice one-year warranty, and it's gonna give you a nice open air driving experience with the upper soft door if you remove that part and just run the bottom door itself. Now, like I said, this is gonna give you a nice, tight seal with that hook and loop, you don't have to worry about water and elements getting in there and everything. So again, very nice product. If you ever had a Bestop product, you'll know that these are very good quality, they make them great and will last forever. Well, that's been a look at our Bestop 2-Door Piece. The doors fit perfect and were easy to install. I was impressed with the quality of the doors.
I bought these doors thinking that i could keep them in the jeep and run doorless all the time weather permitting. I ordered them a couple weeks before a trip and they didn't show up until the week after. The passenger door installed without issue, the drivers side was/is a mess. I have been fitting doors on jeeps for 15 years and could not get it to adjust and latch correctly. I determined that the weatherstripping was causing problems and the latch was not working. After going back and forth with etrailer a couple time they sent me a new latch. I made it work but not as it should.
The doors do store nicely behind the front seats and are lightweight. THEY DO NOT KEEP OUT RAIN. They leak at the top and at 30+ mph they start to flex outward at the top. It keeps me dry for the most part. My jeep has no carpet and is lined with bed liner, so a little water doesn't bother me, but if you have carpet the water will cause rusty floorboards. These doors would be great if they fit better and sealed up.
