Hi everybody, my name is Andy with etrailer.com and today we're taking a look at Coghlan's Telescopic Fly Swatter. If you're looking for a short range or a long range solution to swatting and eliminating those pesky flies, mosquitoes or other insects, this just might be the item that you're looking for. What makes this flyswatter so unique as you can see, is because it does have this telescoping feature, which is really nice. So, it allows you to even keep more of a distance between you and the insect that you we're trying to eliminate and especially if it's in a hard to reach area, or it's a little bit higher than what you can reach, this will offer you that needed length to get that insect that may be just a little bit too high for you. Also, it gives you a little bit more distance between you and let's say something like a wasp that you're trying to get out. And so that's nice and maybe it'll allow you some additional seconds to run away in case you would happen to miss that wasp.

This does have a nice, comfortable wooden handle. So, that's gonna give you a comfortable grip and this leather strap here is also convenient and that it allow you to hang up this fly swatter when it's not in use. Now, when retracted as I have it here, it is compact and convenient enough to pack away somewhere in your RV or in your belongings, when you're on your camping trip or even in a drawer in your house. This is perfectly good for whole use as well. So, you can use this in a variety of different situations.

Now, the overall length when you have it fully extended from the top of the fly swatter to the bottom and to the bottom of this handle here is sitting at about 28 3/4 inches across all the way from bottom to top. So, that's when it's fully extended, 28 3/4 inches across. And then when retracted pull out my ruler here, we are sitting right at 11 inches across. Let's see, that's probably easier for you to see, 11 inches across. And then just the handle length, we are sitting not quite five inches, about 4 7/8 inches long.

And if you're interested in the diameter, the diameter of the handle is about let's say about 5/8 inches, 5/8 inch in diameter. And the swatter itself measuring this way we're sitting a little over four inches about maybe close to 4 1/4 and then going this way, we're sitting about four inches, we'll call it four inches, kind of gives you an idea of the swatter there. So, this is a very nice, convenient fly swatter. I haven't really seen anything like this before. And like I said, it's great.
