The wireless thermometer and remote sensor let you easily monitor the temperature of 2 spaces in and around your RV, camper, or home. The thermometer can be used either inside or outside. This means you can make sure your perishables aren't thawing out in your garage freezer, and you can make sure that your pipes or tanks don't freeze during a cold night. The monitor and remote sensor are also very easy to wirelessly pair up, requiring no hardwiring or hard work.
The remote sensor reads the temperature of an area and wirelessly sends it to the LCD screen on the monitor. The screen then displays the temperature of both the monitor's location (labeled indoor) and the sensors location (labeled outdoor) at the same time. These temperature readings can either be shown in degrees F or degrees C. And if there are more than 2 areas that you wish to monitor, you can add up to 2 additional remote sensors (RS-TX - sold separately).
This thermometer also has a built-in digital clock, which provides you with 12-hour and 24-hour clock options.
The thermometer and sensor are easy and quick to setup. 2 AA batteries and 2 AAA batteries (not included) are required. For the best performance, use alkaline or lithium batteries. Once the batteries have been installed, the temperature will then appear, and you can use the downward arrow key to switch between degrees F and degrees C. If you are adding additional sensors, repeat the same process, and use the upward arrow key to navigate between channels.
When setting the sensor in place, make sure you choose an area that's not in direct sunlight or vulnerable to the elements. You can either set the sensor down on a table or other flat surface or you can use hardware (not included) and the slot on the back to hang it on a wall.

What's up RV and camper enthusiasts Today, we're taking a look at TempMinder's wireless, digital thermometer. You can get the temperature inside with the main unit and it comes with one remote mounted sensor that you can place outside to game the temperature, but you can purchase up to two additional ones to get the temperature elsewhere. Some great options for those extra sensors are outside. I would recommend placing one on top of your wheel well, it's a great place to keep it out of sight so that nobody's looking for it and an opportunistic thief doesn't run off with it. But you can still get that temperature so if it's a brisk morning, maybe you want to sleep in a little longer. Another place that people like to put it is in their water compartment.
If you had a freeze overnight, you'd want to know that before you went to use your water. You could check the sensor real quick.Finally, a lot of people like to actually put it in their fridge, just in case the generator went out. You want to know if you're getting into a spoiled milk situation or not. It's an LCD display. You can see we've got our time, that's available to be set up in 12 or 24 hour increments.

This is your entry-level one, it's just temperature. We have full color display ones that are actually a complete weather station. They'll give you barometric pressure and even a weather forecast. Batteries are not included. You're going to need two AAs and two AAAs for the units and I would recommend picking those up separately.

I should have read description better and saved the instructions. Both units are battery only and not intuitive to set up w/o instructions. Change a battery in base and lose all your preset info.
appears to just what I need for monitoring in side the horse trailer I do wish there was a way I could tie a string on to the monitoring unit to hang it in the trailer
Had a short in my old inlet. This inlet much more water resistant than what I had and what I found in a local shop (which I later returned). I had some questions about the inlet hole diameter and asked a question on etrailer. got a response in the next business day.
shipped my order 12 hours after received on a Sunday.

I actually use the remote in the refrigerator to see the temp without opening the door. Unit has worked just fine.
Very good looking and easy to set up. didn't come with mounting screws. I used Velcro to hold them in place.
The TempMinder was received quick and works very will. Just what I was looking for!
Have owned this thermometer for at least five years plus When it quit working. I was so pleased with it that I ordered one that was as close as possible to it. New thermometer works perfectly!
It still and has worked great from the I perches it a year a go.
works great. use it with two senders and monitor inside, outside and fridge temp. min and max are excellent for food safety.

Works great! I mounted the outside sensor behind the sheet metal siding so it wouldn't be in direct sunlight and it worked fine.
