Temp Minder Accuracy When Reading In An Enclosed Metal Containment

Question:

I want to monitor the temperature under the floor of my truck camper to make sure it isnt getting cold enough to freeze the water pipes and tanks. But my camper is all aluminum frame, sides, roof, and floor. Plus the underfloor area is between the steel wall of the truck bed. I need to know if the Temp Minder transmissions can escape from inside the all-metal containment under the camper. Also, how accurate is it? I am hoping to keep the water in our camper so we can use it this winter, but need to keep an eye on the temperature both when it is parked in our driveway and if we are out camping.

The TempMinder Wireless Indoor and Outdoor Thermometer w/ Remote Sensor and Clock # TM22259VP is designed to work inside or outside to include your all metal containment under the camper. The TempMinder is accurate and has a temperature range of 32 degrees - 122 degrees Fahrenheit for the monitor, and -22 degrees to 158 degrees Fahrenheit for the remote sensor.

The remote can transmit a signal up to 165' away.
