Today, we're going to review part number AUT2-LINC-B. This is the Au-Tomotive Gold Stainless Steel Lincoln Trailer Hitch Cover for 1-1/4" hitches with the chrome and black finish. Now, hitch covers look really cool but they do more than just accessorize your vehicle. This Lincoln hitch cover will help keep dirt out of your receiver and prevents rust so that you can easily install a ball mount or other hitch accessories into your receiver when you need them. This uses the officially licensed Lincoln logo. As you can see it's an ABS plastic which will outline the logo and the faceplate to give a 3-D effect.
The chrome plating adds a nice classic style to it and the black acrylic background right here is very durable. It is all mounted on this nice polished stainless steel base that will resist rust and corrosion. You notice on the back, the shank that goes into the hitch receiver is a 1-piece riveted construction so there's no assembly required. When you receive this part, it will come just like this, ready to install. If you notice on the side, it has multiple hitch pin holes drilled to fit different types of hitch receivers. Now that's held in place with a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock.

This part is made in the USA and again the application is for 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" trailer hitch receivers. One wonders why all covers made for 1 1/4" with and adapter for 2" so there would be no need for 2 sizes. I attached it to my E Trailer hitch on my Corvette. Yes a tow hitch on a Corvette for bike rack.

This is the second time I have purchased a trailer hitch from this company. I only had to replace this product because I was rear ended a few weeks ago by another driver. The tow bar took all the damage and while it had to be replaced, it protected the back of my jeep from further impact.

I had a cheap rubber cover but it either blew off in the wash or got stolen. With a locking pin this one should stay put. Makes a nice little enhancement to my vehicle and shows pride in having served our country. Glad it arrived in time for display this "Veterans Day".
