Today we are going to be taking a look at the Super Wench LT4000 ATV wench. The wench is going to feature a rated line pull of 4000 pounds, and it is going to feature a sealed 1.4 horsepower permanent magnet motor. It's going to contain reinforced steel drums, that are designed for synthetic rope, and it is going to have a relocated in motor break which is going to protect the rope from heat. The gearing on the unit is going to be machine cut metal gears, that's really going help increase shock load performance. Right here at the front we are going to have an aluminium hawse fairlead that is going to reduce wear and tear on the synthetic rope. It does feature a free spooling clutch with and ergonomic control located right here on this side of the wench. It's got two positions, you are going to have an engage position and a disengage position. Engaged means that it is ready for wrenching, disengaged allows the wench to go into a free spool mode, that way you can grab the hand saver strap, extend the line out quickly to where you need it, and then when you are ready to wench you just want to make sure that it is fully moved back over to the engaged position. It's going to come with some different remotes to control the in and out functions of the wench.
You are going to get a 12 foot long hand held remote, that way you can operate the wench from a safe distance. It's also come with the handle bar rocker switch, that way you can mount this to the handle bar on your ATV and control the wench from the seat of your ATV. It's going to come with the wiring and the mounting port for the handheld remote to connect into. So this would hard wire into the unit and then you would mount this at a convenient location on the ATV and then when you want to use the handheld remote you just plug the two in and then you can operate that from a safe distance away. Again, the handheld remote is going to measure 12 foot long, and you are going to have plenty of wiring here for the handle bar rocker switch to get all that mounted correctly and mounted to the ATV. All the necessary wiring and hardware is included.
It's going to come with the battery leads, the solenoid to wench connectors, that's going to have the inline circuit breakers, so all the wiring and hardware for the rocker switch and the handheld remote is included as well. When it comes to the mounting plate, I already have it mounted on there, but this right here is our mounting plate. The wench simply mounts to it. The mounting plate is going to measure 6 inches by 5 and 1/8 of an inch. It's going to come with your rubber boots. That's these six parts right here.
The rubber boots are going to protect the wiring connectors, so you are going to get two for the wench, two for the included solenoid assembly, that's this unit right here, and two for the battery posts on your ATV. Now when installing all the different components and making your wiring connections, please refer to and follow the included instructions that come with the wench. When it comes to the gearing, we are looking at a three stage planetary gearing system. The gear ratio is 166 to 1. It does have the sealed solenoid and then it's going to have the inline circuit breakers right there, so the circuit breakers are protected. It's going to feature an automatic 100% load holding break. The synthetic rope on the unit is going to measure 50 feet long, by 3/16 of an inch in diameter.
Here on the end it's going to have the forged steel heavy duty clevis pin, that's going to have the hook and it's going to have the safety latch mechanism to prevent accidental disconnecting. It's also going to come with a hand saver strap. The drum diameter is going to measure 2 inches. The dimensions of the wench, we are looking at about 13 inches long, just the wench itself from the front of the wench to the back of the wench is going to be about 4 and 1/4 inches wide, and then the height from top to bottom is going to be about 4 and 1/4 inches tall. On the bottom of the wench, you can't really see it because I have it already installed on the mounting plate, but basically right here where I have the four bolts installed, that's the mounting points on the bottom of the wench. Those mounting holes are going to be separated on center going this direction by 3 inches, and then going across this direction it's going to be 4 and 7/8 of an inch. Again, all the wiring and necessary hardware is included to get the unit installed, and it comes with really nice detailed instructions as well as a owners manual to help with maintenance responsibilities and it's going to recommend replacement parts. It makes everything very easily accessible as an owner of the wench and all the components. That's going to do it for today's look at the Super Wench LT 4000 ATV wench.

Bought it for my husband to put on a Kubota RTV 1140 CPX. He loves it. Has come in handy when pulling logs for firewood out of the woods. He specifically wanted a winch with the synthetic rope .
everything fit like it was supposed to. had to take off more of the plastic body of my new Kawasaki Mule SX than i expected to do the wiring, but i learned about my machine in the process. the new winch works great and i hope i never need it.
Great Winch. Used 99% for a plow on a 2007 Yamaha Wolverine. In the latest snow, Very heavy and wet and plowed a few hours on the 2nd year of use, I did break the synthetic rope at the hook and bent the latch on the hook.... I feel all my fault from use and load. And the rope broke at the bend point into the roller... Possibly worn through but a lot of use. Still a great winch

have not been able to mount the winch yet due to the fact that a mount has not been made for the 2022 ranger 570 SP yet. But I have used your product in the past and I’ve had no problems.

i love etrailer, i found what i wanted quickly and easily. the item was just as described and the price was fantastic. i will attach pictures of fabricated mount for my application. this was purchased for a car hauling trailer and the product worked perfectly. i incorporated the solenoid and control cable into the battery box to make the whole unit Very portable. Great wwinch, but the control box is not working. It clicks, but nothing works
A common review is that the instructions are not good. I think overall the printed instructions could be better but there is a decent wiring diagram to follow. Etrailer also has an excellent video to watch an installation - forget that the make or model may not be the same as yours the concept is there. Excellent communications. After a year of use of winching myself and others that were stuck pretty good. The winch still works like the first day I installed it.

I installed the Superwinch LT 2000 on a 2007 Honda Rancher and also the mounting kit # 2202889. The install went well. I had never put a winch on an ATV before. The video on etrailer was very helpful and would have been difficult to install without it. The instructions that come with the winch and the mount kit are minimal. I found the electrical wire length to be enough as I mounted the solenoid right behind the battery under the seat. The pink wire on the ignition was what I used to tap into to run the switch.

The winch has Performed well . The only problem that I have had is that I hooked the cable up to a snow plow . The cable broke and the guide roller bent . After doing some research on this I bought a new guide roller and a plow winch strap . This fixed the plow lifting issue .
A year ago I had ordered hard to find light covers for my boat trailer and the price was very inexpensive. It took quite a while to get them. I ordered this winch to replace one on a lift I purchased. It bolted right up and was easy to wire. I received the order in a timely manner. After ordering it, I found it cheaper on another web site. I bought this 2000 lb Superwinch for the replacement of a 1000 lb winch on our houseboat. The winch is used to secure a jetski on the back of the boat! The winch works perfectly and the price and free shipping are what brought me back to etrailer! I'm a very satisfied customer.
Easy installation, mounted perfect to my Polaris 400 Sportsman ATV using the mounting kit that came with the winch.
very nice for the price, but the large double circuit braker that come completely unprotected from shorting out should have a plastic or rubberized enclosure so that it can be mounted to the frame without rapping in a half a roll of electrical tape. also the cable could be a little longer, you can work with to long but not so much with to short.
I have used this for one year on my big bear four wheeler. The winch lifts a bucket which I have moved about 35 tons or more of dirt and manure for my garden. It works just as good now as when I first got it. I would recommend it.
The winch arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Ian was spot on about the install to replace my dead Warn winch. I was going to just switch out the unit, but decided to rewire most of it except the remote switch. The whole job took a couple of hours. The winch itself is quiet, smooth operating, and seems fast, but the old one was 12 years old. The only issue for me was the wiring diagram was a little small, but my eyes aren't what they used to be either. All in all, very satisfied.
Not impressed, was missing two bolts, two lock washers and two nuts. Had to go to the hardware store to get more. Instillation directions are a joke. I do not recommend.
