Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located inside your rear cargo area. You will have to remove some interior paneling to access this harness. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed in your rear cargo area.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights. Note: This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.
With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with the four-way flat trailer connector. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2022 and newer Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross vehicles. And on a custom fit part like this, I do recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now this harness here provides a four way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer signal lights.
It is compatible with five pole, six pole, and seven pole adapters that we do sell separately. This harness does connect very quickly and easily. Basically all you have to do is locate the connection point that's in the rear cargo area on the driver's side, plug in this T connector to the matching connector there, and again, it comes with a set of instructions that'll describe where to find that and how this all goes together. So basically plug in this T connector, ground this white wire to a nearby ground, and then install the fuse right here into your fuse holder. Now they do include a piece of double face tape 'cause this converter box you do wanna attach it to where it doesn't bounce around.
So you can use that double face tape to do that. Now we mention this converter right here. It's a module-like power converter and that's to ensure that your vehicle's wire will match that of your trailer. It is a powered module. It does connect directly to your battery, so avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system.
If you notice on the four way that you'll run out to the back to plug into your trailer comes with this attached dust cap that'll go right over the terminals when you're not connected and protects those terminals from any damage or from the elements. A few specs on this harness, the maximum amperage for the stop and turn light circuits is five amps per circuit. For the tail lights is 7.5 amps per circuit. They do include a couple of cable ties here to take up any slack in your wiring. But that should do it for the review on the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with the four-way flat trading connector.
