T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector

Great quality and sound design. Package arrived looking like it had been air-dropped, but the hitch only had a few scuffs on the paint, and the harness package was unharmed. I watched the [online] video a few times and read and reread the printed instructions. All were very helpful.1219226

Hitch is doing great! I do not actually pull a trailer, but have a cargo carrier that plugs into the trailer hitch in which I transport my 15 scale railroad flat car.

The sales representative was amazing. Not only did he care about providing AAA services but also sent video's on how to install which made it so easy. I will definitely purchase through etrailer again.1734469

Hitch and lighting kit installed fine, but the videos didn’t mention differences in the 2019 RAV 4 Hybrid from the non-hybrid. I wanted to let you know about those.

HITCH
Not sure if this is solely a hybrid issue, but there was what was either a shipping tie-down or tow point bracket that required permanent removal, as it was right in the way of the hitch cross member. It’s quite heavy duty. Comes off easily, requires removal of two bolts. Passengers side, mounted on the bottom of the frame rail. I have included a photo, but not while it was on the car, I was focused on the install. I managed the install by myself, no lift, required jacking up at the rear jack point on one side to be able to slip the hitch up behind the chrome exhaust tips, as the distance between them is less than the width of the hitch. Also, appears the foot activated rear hatch auto lift will not work with the hitch, which is what Toyota said, but not what e-trailer said when I sent in the question prior to purchase. It would not have made a difference in my decision to buy. See attached photo

WIRING KIT
Very pleasant surprise, the battery on the hybrid is in the rear, passengers side below the passenger side panel. Running the power cable is a breeze. The battery is accessed by two removable panels, but just as in the video, I felt more comfortable nearly removing the large side panel to access the light connector. Also, I have the premium stereo, which as a woofer in the drivers rear panel. This does not cause any problems, but is worth mentioning to potential installers so they don’t get worried.673387

Well, I have hUled a trailer a few times, use the receiver for a hitch mount bike rack frequently. Light co be toe kit and instructions were excellent!

I never thought I would be able to attach a trailer hitch and then put the wiring in. We recently bought a new car and we wanted a trailer hitch put on. The dealer wanted over $600. I believe I paid under $250 for the hitch and wiring harness. The videos are fantastic. It is step by step. Unless you are disabled, you should be able to do it. If you are shopping around you don't need to go any further. Customer service is A+. I never take the time to write reviews, but i just wanted to let others know what a good experience I had and saved over $350.1293817

Easy Peasy. Took me about 30 mins to install hitch on the new Rave Hybrid. Didn't even jack up the vehicle. Car was shiney new so exhaust hangers slid right off. Supported muffler w a stack of 2X4s. Removed access stickers and slid the hitch in place. Shimmed it up with more scrap 2x4 pieces. I have limited tools here at the winter house in Myrtle Beach, but 19mm box end got er done! Slid exhaust hangers back on, good to go. Wiring harness will have to wait a few weeks. Very happy, will use next week to drive to Dallas with Bike carrier on the back.995843

Excellent instructions and reasonably priced. In the end, I decided to pay a shop to install because I was too lazy to pull all the interior panels to route the wires. The shop would've provided a similar control unit and would've marked up substantially. Shop had no issue installing my customer-provided kit. Controlling my trailer lights perfectly.1570485

This does not fit the 2019 RAV4 Hybrid for plug in installation. I got it so that I didn't have to splice the wires but ended up needing to splice them anyways.669814

I checked with Tekonsha just to be sure, and they have indeed confirmed that this is the correct wiring harness for your 2019 Toyota RAV4. After taking a look at your photo, it appears you might be looking in the wrong spot for the connectors. The photo you provided shows a photo of a connector outside the vehicle, behind the taillight assembly. The correct connectors are actually located behind the interior panels on both sides of the cargo area as shown in the installation instructions linked above.

The installation video for my make and model vehicle was a great help. It gave me the confidence to pull a little harder on the interior plastic side panels knowing they would not break. Wire harness connectors fit perfectly with existing connectors. My hybrid vehicle has the 12v battery located in the rear on passenger side. This made the power connection a breeze. I will recommend Etrailer to anyone looking for your type of products.1197395

The wiring harness works very well. I have some mobility issues so had to pay for some help installing it but by following the instructions that came with the unit we were able to hide the cabling and it out of the vehicle exactly it needed to be for best use. It works every time and its easy to connect.

This trailer hitch impressed me. Unfortunately, we had an issue with [mechanic shop] and they did not connect the hitch on correctly which came disconnected. The emergency chains were hooked in and try to pull away the trailer, even slam back into the hitch, and there was very little damage to the actual hitch itself very impressed with the quality of this product.1490195

Following the etrailer tutorial made this task very easy. The wiring was even easier in my 2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid XLE because my car's battery is located in the rear passenger side corner of the trunk. So for power, I didn't have to run the cable all the way up to the front end of the car. My only wish is that the butt splices weren't so cheap and they included heat shrink ones instead.1515987
