Installation
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness.
Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.

Today we are going to take a look at the T1 vehicle wiring harness with the four-way flat trailer connector. This is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2008 to 2010 Dodge Avenger. And on a custom fit part I always like to recommend to go to our website. Use our fit guide. Put in your year and model vehicle, and it will show if this will work through application. Now this part will provide the four-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer signal lights.
This is compatible with five-pole, six-pole, and seven-pole adapters that we do sell separately. This harness does connect very quickly and easily. There's no cutting or splicing the wires. Basically, you just locate your connection points behind the tail lights, plug-in these two connectors, one on each side, ground your white wire here, and then run this power wire to your vehicle's battery. Now this does include a module light to ensure that your vehicle wiring will match that of your trailer. This is a power module which will connect directly to the vehicle's battery to avoid overloading the vehicle's electrical system.
Now the wires that you run out the back that the four-way's attached to, that's made out of a durable sixteen-gauged bonded wire and a nice thing on the four-way is that it comes with this integrated dust cap so that you won't lose it. And the other thing is when you're not plugged into a trailer, you can put that dust cap right over the terminals to protect them from any damage or from the elements. Now the maximum average on this harness for the stop and turn light circuits is 2.1 amps per circuit, and on the tail light circuit is 4.2 amps. Now this part comes with everything shown here. I'm going to show you where all these pieces go when you install it. Basically, what you want to do again is go to the real of the vehicle and access behind the tail lights.
And then what you want to do is start on the driver's side and you'll take this T-connector right here, it has the two connectors on it, with the yellow wire. The yellow wire is for the driver's side. So you'll run this to the tail lights, unplug the harness from the tail lights, T this in, and then what you'll do is take the other T-connector that has the length of the green wire, that's the passenger side, you'll run that over to the passenger side and do the same thing. Access behind the tail lights, plug this into the harness in the tail lights. With those connected, then what you'll want to do is this module light powered module right here. You do want to connect this to a surface so it doesn't bounce around.
So they do include a piece of double-faced tape you can use to attach to that or even take one of the cable ties to secure it down. Once that's all down, you can run the bonded wire out towards the back and then you'll have to remaining wires. The white wire, you can see, has a eyelet on it. That's to connect to a good, clean ground. If there is one near by you can use it. If not, they include a grounding screw that you can make your own ground. And then the last wire is the red power wire. This is needs to run to your vehicle's battery. So what you'll want to do is, they give you this extra length of wire, take one they included butt connectors, put it on, connect it to one end of that length of wire, and then run this length all the way up to your vehicles battery. And when you get up there with this end, you don't want to connect this directly to the battery. You want to run it through this end-line fuse holder first. So take the other butt connector, connect it to one side of the fuse holder just like that, and then on the other side of the fuse holder you'll take this included eyelet connector, put it on, and then this will connect to the battery. And what you'll want to do is just pop this open. They give you an included 10 amp fuse. Pop that into your fuse holder, put the cap on, and you'd be all ready to go. Now they do give you a nice set of detailed instructions that'll tell you how to install it, and even gives you pictures of how your connections are made. And symmetric cable ties to take up any slack in any of your wiring. Now one last thing I do want to recommend is that you can use a small amount of dielectric grease on all your electric connections, the plugs on your automobile, even on the four-way connector itself. And this is to help prevent corrosion. But that should do it for the review on the T1 vehicle wiring harness with the four-way flat trailer connector.

Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom wiring harness. T-One connector plugs directly into existing wiring. Powered ModuLite reduces strain on wiring system. After one year they are still in great shape, No rust and all electrical wires are in working condition, and no corrosion. Very happy with their products.
Very easy to install.
Hardest part was getting the light fixture out.
There is a little ball/plastic assembly that really holds it on...
*Note this setup does also require a power wire be run to the pos on your battery, so be prepared for that.
It was delivered quickly, and relatively easy to install. I would buy from etrailer again.
Product arrived correctly and they even had one of them direct shipped from the supplier. Thank you for the great service!!
