Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom harness. T-connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting or splicing required.
Features:
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located in your rear cargo area, on the driver's and passenger's side. You will have to lower the mud flaps behind your rear tires to access this harness.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Today we are going to be taking a look at the Hopkins plug in simple vehicle wire and harness with the 4-pull flat trailer connector. This product fits a 1991 to 1997 Jeep Wrangler, a 97 Jeep TJ, and a 91 to 95 Jeep YJ. It's going to provide a 4-way flat connector at the back of the vehicle to power your trailer signal lights. This is compatible with 5-pull, 6-pull, and 7-pull adapters. The adapters are sold separately. It comes with a dust cap, that way you can cover up those connection points when your plug is not being used. The unit's going to feature protective connection terminals to resist corrosion.
This is going to connect quickly and easily. All you have to do is locate the connection points in your rear cargo area. There is no cutting or splicing required. Locate the connection points. The connector with the green wiring is going to go to the passenger side, the other connector with the yellow wiring is going to go to the driver side.
Locate those and simply plug in your connectors. These are custom fit. They are going to match up perfectly with the ports on the vehicle and they are going to snap lock together for a nice, tight, secure fit. Once you have those connected, you'll need to make a ground connection, that is going to be your white wire. It has a ring terminal already attached to it. You want to get that grounded to a nice clean metal surface with the included grounding screw.
Once your installation is complete, the 4-way connectors are going to be stowed beneath the vehicle near the trailer hitch. We always recommend using a mounting bracket if possible. A mounting bracket is sold separately, but that is really going to do a good job in keeping the connectors secure and easily accessible. If you are in need of something like that, you can check out some options at e-trailer.com. It's also recommend that you use a small amount of grease on all of your electrical connections, like the plugs on the vehicle and the 4-pull connector itself. Fit like it should. plug and play once you get the mud flaps out of the way.
The product was truly plug and play. The hardest part was routing the wires and that wasn't too bad. Shipping was quick.
I needed to put wiring on my 1993 Jeep Wrangler which had a tow package but no wiring.. the adapter kit worked perfectly with no splicing, just unplug the exiting wiring under each taillight and plug your ready to go..it came with a 4 pin which I then plugged into another part which then gave me 4 pine and a round 6 pin which matched my trailer wiring perfectly...
I ordered a plug in harness and a 4 to 5 adapter. Both of which were installed on my 97 Jeep Wrangler which had A LOT of old dirt and grime from off-roading etc. The entire process was a little more than an hour while Cleaned our all that old dirt and gunk. All in all the process was extremely easy and should be able to be accomplished by most people. Also, 1 year after the installation and everything is still working great.

I checked and saw that you had bought the # 18144 mounting bracket. This bracket does not work well with Hopkins branded harnesses. I recommend taking a look at part # HM48595 instead.
