Trailer Wiring Harness for a 1997 Jeep Wrangler
Question:
I own a 1997 Jeep Wrangler and see that you offer two different trailer wiring harnesss for my jeep. Code # 118356 and Code # HM 42605 Can you please tell me the differences in the two. Somewhat confused as to which one i need. My intentions are to simply have a light hook up for a small boat trailer.

Expert Reply:
All of the trailer wiring harnesses for your 1997 Jeep Wrangler install and operate the same way. I would not say that one is better than another since this application does not require any sort of special converter. We hear about less issues with the Tekonsha harnesses, in this case # 118356, so if it were me that is the one I would go with. It will provide the basic light functions for a trailer. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you.
