Plug-N-Tow (R) Wiring Harness - 33925

I believe that this is a good product, however I did change some of the wiring set up. I wrote a review previously and disused why I made changes to the set up. I also sent pictures. One thing I don't care for is closing the trunk on the trailer plug connector wire. So, I changed that to an outside plug receiver like most SUV's have. One other thing I didn't care for was running the wires (going to the Battery) over the frame rail. When your car is put on a lift, the lift support can pinch that wire causing a short in the system. This way of setting up the wiring is more work, but a safer and more professional job. I have not had any issues with this set up. Good companies accept criticism and evaluate.

  • Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2013 Kia Soul
For your 2013 Kia Soul, you are going to want to use the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness part # HM11143975, not the Plug-N-Tow (R) Wiring Harness part # 33925. This harness is a plug and play option just like the one you referenced. You will need to route a wire to the battery for power but we have a help article which I have attached to help with this.

  • Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2007 Kia Sportage
We have the Upgraded Modulite Circuit Protected Wiring Harness, item # 119178KIT, that will work great on your 2007 Kia Sportage with the 4 cyl. motor. This harness needs to be hardwired into the respective tail light circuits at the rear of your vehicle. The Plug-N-Tow (TM) Wiring Harness, item # 33925, is designed to work on the 2005 and 2006 model year Sportage, 4 or 6 cylinder, but the wiring changed for the 2007 model year vehicles. The 2007 model year 6 cylinder models can use the...

  • Which Trailer Connector is Necessary for Towing Small Trailer with 2006 Kia Sportage
The four, five, six and seven pole adapters refer to the trailer connector that supplies power to the trailer for the lighting circuits. A small utility trailer such as the one you are wanting to purchase would use a 4-pole connector like the one supplied on the end of the wiring harness for your Sportage, part # 33925. Different adapters are offered so that the 4-pole connector can be used with trailers that utilize different connectors.

  • Wiring Harness Adapter for a 2007 Kia Sportate
If you have a 6 cylinder vehicle then the part you selected will work on your vehicle and plug in underneath the passengers side between the spare tire and the bumper. If you have a 4 cylinder vehicle then you will need part # 33925 (that also works on the 6 cylinder) which will hook up in line with and behind the vehicle taillights. Both items include the adapter the mechanic referred to and come with instructions that include pictures for easy installation. If you need further assistance,...

  • Kia Dealer Installed Trailer Harness and Is Now Malfunctioning
I would say either the dealer gave you a bad part, or the wrong part. The yellow wires should be attached to the driver side tail light to supply the driver side blinker signal. The other connector goes over to the passenger side tail light. On the passenger side, the red wire picks up brake light signal, brown wire picks up running/tail lights, green wire is the passenger side turn signal and the white wire is the ground. I imagine the part the dealer installed is something similar to...

  • Can the Individual Female Connectors On A Trailer Wiring Harness Be Replaced?
I went and checked out your order history to see specifically what tow harness you were referring to and I was only able to find the Power Watchdog Surge Protector with Bluetooth and Emergency Shut Down # HU27FR associated with your email. For that product, the only available part for replacement is the Replacement Surge Module for Power Watchdog Surge Protector with Emergency Shut Down - 50 Amp # HU58FR.
