Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your Ford Escape with this custom harness. T-connector plugs directly into OEM tow package wiring harness - no cutting or splicing required.
Features:
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's factory tow package wiring harness, which is located in your rear cargo area, in the spare tire compartment. You will have to remove the trim plate and some interior paneling to access this harness. Cut a small hole in the grommet leading to the spare time compartment and feed the connector up to your vehicle's wiring harness.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

It's compatible with five-pull, six-pull and seven-pull adapters. Adapters are sold separately, and it comes with a dust cap for the four-way flat connector, that way you can cover up the connection points when your plug's not being used.This unit does feature protective connection terminals to resist rust and corrosion. It connects quickly and easily, there's no cutting or splicing of wires necessary.
All you need to do is locate the connection point in the rear-cargo area, then plug in your connector. Now, this plug is custom fit for your vehicle, so it's designed to match up perfectly with the connection point in the vehicle, and it snaps and locks together for a nice, tight, secure fit.Once you have that done, secure any excess or slack in your wiring with the included cable ties. The only complaint I have is I expected the harness to be the same length as the original.
