The trailer connector on this 5th-wheel/gooseneck wiring harness gives you the functionality of a 7-way, but without any pins or blades to bend or break. The EZ Connector system uses magnets inside the plug and socket to hold the connectors together. Simply insert the trailer-end plug (sold separately) into this vehicle-end socket and the internal magnets will snap them together, no latch needed. To disconnect, just pull the plug out by hand.

So when you're ready to make your connection, you'll take your trailer end, line up the indention with that pin, and allow it to go together. So actually, what's really neat about this, is you can plug this in at any point with the magnet, and then you can rotate it until that indention lines up and then it slips in and fully seats.It does provide a nice, tight connection, so it does require some force to get the units disconnected.
